Drones stop working after update

i have buildings under construction and they are not delivering the materials and it says they are idle :( any solutions?

interesting , ive had a similar issues with drones not building

they usually start construction, stop half way to go haul regolith for no reason

seems like drones have a mind of their own and dont like to work much haha

do you have all the mats to complete the construction?

Same; Drones started builds, but decided that hauling regolith was more important than building/repairing buildings. Really prevents progression.

Do you have the materials they require available?

This has happened to me a few times before but only when trying to build elevators. Getting them to build those has always been a complete nightmare for me and requires saving and reloading the game a lot.

My drones refuse to haul anything. they just sit there idle.

Edit: Figured it out. apparently drones ignore a storage container that has an input belt. will only deliver to a "starter" container.

yep, everything. I solved it by deleting what i was building and all the drones returned to normal.

Ive had two drones just spin their tracks and wheels trying to get aluminum but couldnt for some reason (they were right next to the storage). Nothing fixes it, so I just deleted the save. Going to be fairly common with an EA game (no, not the company). The devs are working on it at least

Mine as well. They would not even go and repair stuff and just sat idle. I saved and restarted the game and they started working again.

Once you add an input belt to anything it will disable the drones ability to add directly to it. To change that, just click on the building and the menu should have an icon that looks like two arrows and a gear (I think) and you can use that to turn the permissions on again if you want. (or off if you don't want them touching it)

I have the same problem, after the drones start to clear regolith all other queued up tasks are not done. when i save and then reload it seems to clear the task and start again

Thought this was resolved but new game and it's back again. Delivered all resources for the habitat, built half, now all just sitting idle without constructing the rest.

So I got annoyed when I was doing contracts and although cargo crates were full drones were not going to them and it would end up in a - contract failed. I discovered that when they do this if I go to any cargo crate of the material needed to load and click on the priority icon and just toggle it they wake up. No more failed contracts. I also find that if you have a lot of buildings on the third up arrow priority the drones get overwhelmed.

I scrapped a large bulk container once and it left 200k rego on the ground. The drones for some reason decide this was a high priority. The only way I could stop their obsession was power down the building they were taking it to.
