Connect the elevator to the network?

How do I connect the elevator to the network when I don't know what the elevator looks like? The goal seems to suggest that the elevator is already built, but I don't know what it looks like - clicking on objects doesn't tell you what they are.

It's right next to where it has you drop off the robots (in tutorial) - has no power hooked up to it. Or the only not destroyed building (story)

So why can't we mouse over buildings and get info???
