Cancel demolition?
Am I missing it or can you not cancel deconstruction/demolition of a building?
I accidentally hit it and I'd like to prevent the time spent destroying and rebuilding my battery, if at all possible.

Yes a cancel option and a copy/paste option would be really apreciated

Then can you please temporarily give all materials back? It's annoying to accidentally delete something with vital and irreplaceable materials.

Ran into this last night. Thankfully on just one battery and was then a lot more careful.

9 months later.

I assume your still working on this issue?

This is one of the more annoying things in this game, not being able to cancel a demolition. I just misclicked demolition on a large storage. Say goodbye to those resources.

The best way to deal with the situation is to click and asset to delete it.
Click an asset that is marked for deletion, with the deletion tool, and it takes away the state saying to delete the asset.

It is kinda what most UI setups do now.

Yeah, except this does not work in this game.

You have to hold the mouse button to demolish anything, you cant just click it and it blows up

Yeah, if you're in the building UI. If you're in dimantle mode and your finger slips, or your trying to demo a pole wedged between structures and miss, you instantly kill whatever is under the cursor.

I understand development takes time and effort, but the ability to cancel/stop a build/dismantle/production is like the basic of basics in this genre. When you code in how it's done, stopping it prematurely should be the next step. Absolutely unacceptable it wasn't put in before the game was even in a publicly playable condition.
