Pacific P16 is a wide ass truck.
This is the first truck I drive around with keep getting stuck in between rocks everywhere I go.
Am I suppose to keep to main road.

No it is very useful in soft stuff like slippery marshes, deep mud and snow, despite not having AWD, it has the best traction tires in the entire game and LOTS or wheel pressure and permanent diff lock.

But what its handicap is, is rolling over hard objects with the front wheels. It shares that with all Rear Wheel Drive vehicles in game.

AWD vehicles "claw" the front wheels over hard objects, provided they are under the wheel's hub. Without AWD such objects function as a wheel keg or block, preventing wheels to roll.

So yes EXTREMELY capable in the right sort of soft terrain, frustrating or downright useless in hard object covered or hard ridge climbing other terrain.

You should get accustomed to picking the right type of vehicle for the game instead of thinking there is one do-it-all super truck. You will do even better configuring a truck's upgrades for every mission ( suspension lift is not always the best way to go due to rolling, largest engine is not always the best choice due to fuel consumption, mud tires are not always the best choice as they slip on dirt roads, fast acceleration gearboxes not a good idea when stuck in mud as L or L- usually can get AWD/diff lock trucks going without winching and so on....) Not every upgrade is an upgrade that always should be installed.

The P16 is pretty straightforward as it has no upgrades or tire choice...use it in soft muck only.

^^ Mastadon is not a do-it-all super truck neither. Much too large and heavy, which is especially noticeable when you need to climb steep slopes or turn in tight spaces.

It is a lazy choice for not rolling with high ( log ) loads though :-)))

Yes I prefer "not rolling", I'm too impatient to drive super carefully 😎🫣
I also drive with doubles and double stack... Yes I'm lazy...😈

I knew that already without explanation when you presented that "truck" :-))

And no i am not holier than thou.....i (sometimes ) use it for log transport too, and even lighter "loads"
