Are upgrades on the map only for your current truck?

I'm just starting out and so far, I've only been able to grab the upgrades that you can find on the map with my Chevrolet pickup truck. I've found three so far and all of them were for that pickup truck. So, are the upgrades you find on the map for your current vehicle? It makes me wonder if I should be using my other trucks to grab these upgrades.

its not for current truck, when you find new upgrade there is a button to show for wich trucks it fits

finding the upgrades might give you one free and it also makes it available to buy.
Always check your other trucks for possible upgrades, you might have already found it but have not bought it yet.

When you pick up the upgrades, it gives you a list of trucks that can use them. Seriously, do people even read the tutorials or notice the giant billboards in the middle of the screen?

The upgrades are set, they do not change based on what truck you are using, the same upgrades will be in the same place in every game. You are finding upgrades for the pickup first because it is the first truck you are given so the closest and easiest upgrades are for that truck.

When you find an upgrade, there are 2 buttons on the bottom of the 'Upgrade found' pop-up - on the left it says 'show truck list' and on the right it says 'accept upgrade' - going from memory.

I've read the pop-ups, many times. I haven't disabled them yet. I don't remember a pop-up saying "When you find an upgrade, it's for one specific truck", hence my confusion. But thanks for clarifying.
