Game freezes on startup

I start the game, it starts to load, loads until "Snowrunner" is displayed on the screen and freezes. Always in the same place. It can be seen from the task manager that the game starts to devour memory and when the memory is 100% full the game crashes.

PC configuration:
i5-4670
16GB RAM
3070TI

What I already did:
updated video drivers to version 536.40
.net upgrade to version 4.8.1;
installed directX12 and Visual C++ versions: 2008,2009,2012,2013, 2015-2022;
reinstalled windows;
tried another video card;
tried swapping RAM;

Has anyone come across this or have any suggestions?

did you verify game files on steam? do you use any OC on your PC? either CPU or GPU? i once had similar issue in another game, it turned out the issue was that i had something wrong in CPU/RAM OC profile. while PC worked fine and didn't crash, as soon as i tried playing certain games, they froze or game crashed, while windows was running fine.

i suggest verify game files and then check your OC profiles, if you don't have any, then try other games, do they work?

if other games work fine (try at least 3-4 games that are about as demanding as snowrunner), if they all work, then could also be issue with your HDD/SSD, could be bad sectors. i suggest run check disk. if HDD, then defrag your drive aswell.

i already have directX12, when i try to update, it tells me that actual version is installed. Аnd according to two other links I updated the software. It did not help

I do not understand what lame.exe is, but it is present in the game folder

Reinstalled game several times. I set the OC settings for RAM to default and it didn't help. Hard drive and SSD are fine. For example, cyberpunk, RDR2, GTA5 run without problems

I had this same problem, what was causing it? my F.... corsair keyboard... try something with the icue software if u have that...

an i5 4650 on a 3070 ti seriously? thats a major bottleneck for that GPU

of course this processor is an old man, but it is enough for this game.

It has been a long time since the topic was created, I even changed the platform. Now I have ryzen 7800x3d + 3070TI + 64 GB RAM, and I even updated to windows 11 23H2 and you know what? This problem has not gone away, the game does not load :D
