have now tried to fix fps to 60 and stutters have become a tick less...
DRM does not cause stutters .......can you prove this claim .......cause i run the game fine no stutters on a lesser system than the OPs
I also run it capped @ 75 tho cause this is no shooter or anything that needs crazy fps you dont really see anyway
Found a Fix
I recently had the same problem. Every 2 minutes (give or take a few seconds) my game would freeze for approx 1 second then play for about 2 seconds and freeze again for about 1 second. This would happen every 2 minutes or so.
After trying everything I could think of to solve the problem, nothing worked.
After searching the net and trying every possible solution out there I Finally found a fix for the Stuttering.
Now I only get an occasional pause when Auto-Saving. But even then, it is not that noticeable and only happens once in awhile.
This is what I found that Works. You can read about the fix here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/snowrunner/comments/pt78i8/i_fixed_the_stuttering_issues_where_your_throttle/
It does require you to download a Zipped .exe file which is perfectly safe. You can find the link in the post above or you can go there direct by following this link:
https://github.com/12354/SnowRunnerStutterRemover/releases/tag/release-v1.9
There are 2 zip files to choose from:
SnowRunnerStutterPatcher.zip
SnowRunnerStutterRemover.zip
The Patcher zip fixes it permanently, until the next update or if you verify integrity of local files. At which time it will have to be Patched again.
The Remover zip is a Temporary fix which has to be done every time you restart the game.
I used the SnowRunnerStutterPatcher.zip (Permanent Patch). I used it for both Epic and Steam versions of the game and it solved the problem. No more stutters.
Hope this helps anyone else that may be experiencing annoying stutters in SnowRunner.
Developers of the game need to fix the stutters ASAP. Acutally, the stutter itself is not even the main problem here. Rather, the camera makes a wild jump after the stutter. As long as the camera jump is fixed, minor stutter should be fine
You are perfectly right, Devs have to fix it. Though it won't happen because this issue is in the game from the start. I have the same problem with a quite similar machine than OP and only the 3rd party fix has done the job yet.
