Hi man!
First, thanks for your time.
Well, on my case its the steering wheel, not the pedals! I do have a workaround similar to yours.
Basically, I turn the wheel a bit and try to use the mouse, if it happens again, I turn a bit more... and so on until it does not mess up the mouse.
I assume some degrees are ok, others just flickers between degree values. Same in your case.
In your case maybe there is a simple solution, but I do not know the logitech software.
If possible, try to add a little deadzone on your pedals. I believe it would fix your problem. It is stupid because the game has not deadzone settings itself, so we can only do it in the wheels software, if possible.
In my case, I do not have any way to add steering deadzone, and even if I did, would be only in the middle. Would be better then nothing anyway...
Only solution is to hire a programmer with steering wheel experience to go fix Saber's mess, I'm afraid.
It is so much better to play it with a wheel, but it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating!
Not that it's a huge deal. It IS better, at least the steering bit, with a wheel, but you're really never going fast enough in the game for that lack of precision to be a major issue.
Just a disappointment, is all.
The thing with the steering wheel is not because of speed or precision in my case, the thing is that with the wheel you can feel the rocks, the mud, the sliding and lack of grip, all of that and more, which makes it a lot more imersive and enjoyable experience.
What i do is the following:
- Completly stop the truck with emergency brake, then open que quick menu interface, press right click on the mouse, then press the gas pedal and then use the mouse to select a winch point.
I guess your problem is that you are using the function attach winch in the quick menu. You need to do it the way i describe it above instead.
But no, that bug that you are talking about I have never experienced it.
I have a T300 RS and a Logitech G920 on two different PCs and on both wheels this happens so it's a bug in the game not in the wheel drivers. I have played for well over 2500 hours and I get this problem every single session. It is definitely the wheel interfering but I find if I pump the brake a few times when it's playing up it seems to fix it (and someone else above also suggested this). I think it also happens if I'm using the mouse and have my feet resting on one of the pedals (or even just on the floor of the pedals) or slightly move the wheel w/out noticing it.
I've never found a way to properly fix this and Sabre are so bad at fixing anything to do with wheels I doubt there will ever be a fix.
