Why would you be pulling cargo on a winch? Are you going to deliver someone's cargo after dragging it across the ground behind a truck. Lmfao, thank God you're not a real truck driver. If you are, you probably work for UPS.
No, not adding a cargo winch. Sorry.
Abd al-Hazir: You might try bringing a second truck along on really tough slogs. You can turn on the motor of the vehicle you're winched to and have both pulling. Sometimes hard to manage. Best to keep the connection really close and tight.
Obviously if you have a trailer there’s no reason to pull it with a winch, clearly that’s not what trailers are designed for 😅
But…
There’s one type of mission where this can be useful.
When they ask you to recover and transport to a fixed location a broken vehicle.
The game is full of missions like “bring this completely trashed scout car to X location”.
I must admit that in some situations, especially in early game, I founded myself bogged down in deep mud with my truck and the towed vehicle was clearly not helping. As well as the fact that my only winch was connected to it instead of pulling me out of the mud.
Now, obviously I’m not an idiot, well, not that idiot, so I simply disconnected my winch from the towed car, pulled myself couple of meters forward, attached the winch back to the towed car and we both were out. But I admit that having a second wich would be helpful in this situation. Not indispensable but a quality of life improvenment.
Obviously you can argue that as it is right now you will be force to hone your skills, to which I also agree.
