If it is among the three listed and it doesn't work proper, you should take this to Saber support.
I sent a message to saber last night, as recommended on the compatibility page, and they've already replied that they've forwarded it to the developer for consideration.
In the meantime I'll keep working to find the best configuration available.
The strange thing is on an earlier version of Snowrunner you had a setting for it, it even said Hori but today it´s missed and we got a bunch of new Settings like for the Saitek Farming Wheel.
I try all Options but same problem, i don´t get it because Mudrunner has no problems at all you could use every damn hardware on it and the game take it like a champ and has a default setting for all.
The irony is that i used a Saitek Farming Wheel at that time (1-2 Years ago?!?) and still got the same compatibility Problems and now i use another Hardware (Hori Truck Controll System) and they build today an option for the Farming Wheel, WTF?!?.
I don´t understand the dev´s with the struggle of using wheels?!?
Or maybe i do they try to support the consoleros more as the PC-Community.
• Only one controller at a time can be active so the shifter buttons don't work well unless you are stopped. You can hold them down though, as the gears are which works fine.
• There are some weird things going on with the sticks. I think it's 50/50 that the game is mixed up and the wheel has weird output. Anyway, I was able to play with mappings and reverse axes to get something usable.
• The force feedback is kind of a mess: the resistance to turning is too strong but the back pressure is too low (doesn't straighten out), the various gains kind of suck and turning them down makes them nearly useless. Perhaps I haven't dialed in good settings yet but these are my first impressions.
I'll upload my settings once I get them dialed in a little more if anyone is interested.
Thanks for the tip but i still waiting for the devs. I lost so many hours but i have a small success i was able to set up the wheel axle and gaspadle to working and yeah i was able to drive, without brakes or working clutch, the thing is some buttons and axles have double functions and i couldn´t turn it off. I can key binding in the Optionsmenu but still the other function i can´t settle it down or something. I hope the devs hearing of the fans. Oh what also importand was to take off the controller Steam support don´t let steam support the controller, maybe it work it better. For me it does.
Another issue that's been slowing me down is that it seems like the x and Y axes are mixed up on a few of the controls (in snowrunner) and almost everything needs to be inverted.
The last issue is weird. According to windows game controller diagnostics, the wheel is outputting on the left joystick x axis and the left joystick x axis is outputting on the wheel. I'm guessing that might be something mixed up in drivers. The issue I ran into is the map, which requires 4 axes to control. The camera rotation is the same as while driving so I need that to work, which only leaves the mixed up left stick for the other two. It won't accept the wheel axis so I ended up literally using the wheel to control one axis. I'm looking into a way to swap the wheel and left stick x output. I'll share if I find anything.
Did you experience issues with force feedback generally?
I mean, I had force feedback low for 2 weeks and it was ok to drive. Just a little annoying in the menus. But the wheel got automatically centered and everything, so it was ok.
However, all of a sudden my wheel doesn't center at all in SnowRunner, no matter which force feedback settings I use. Any clue? Has anyone had this ?
When i tab out to windows, it works fine. Ingame, it just doesn't recenter, which is really annoying, unfortunately.
Satisfactory 1.0 dropped and I've been super into that with my friend while the wheel is gathering dust. It's such a time sink. I'll get back to driving in a month or two.
I just find it very hard to find any information on the whole FF topic tbh. Already reached out to HORI who are investigating on their end, but Saber isn't very responsive unfortunately.
Yep, AntiMicroX as I posted here:
I've also found a few of the keyboard bindings are better or easier to use than what they have for the wheel. In those cases, I use AMX to map the wheel buttons to the keyboard also.
