Steering Wheel Support
SnowRunner comes with profiles for these:

Logitech G29
Logitech G29 with gearbox
Logitech G920
Logitech G Saitek Farm Sim Controller
Logitech G Saitek Farm Sim with Heavy Equipment Side Panel
Logitech G923 (PS4 Layout)
Logitech G923 with gearbox (PS4 Layout)
Logitech G923 (Xbox Layout)
Logitech G923 with gearbox (Xbox Layout)
Thrustmaster T-GT
Thrustmaster T80
Thrustmaster T150
Thrustmaster T300
Thrustmaster TX
Thrustmaster TX with clutch pedal
Fanatec DD1 (Xbox Layout)
Fanatec DD1 (PS4 Layout)
and of course CUSTOM setting

Player confirmed as working:
Thrustmaster TMX
Thrustmaster TS-XW (separate pedals do not work)
Thrustmaster T300RS GT (DirectInput, no FFB)
Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer(488 GT Edition) + T-LCM Load Cell Pedals (logitech legacy, TM profile)
Logitech Driving Force GT
Logitech G27 (settings screenshots)
Logitech G25 (direct input/custom)
Fanatec CSL (need to invert y-axis, add-on TM shifter not working)
... ?

There are "logitech legacy" and "directinput" settings that are somewhat generic and may require you to set up your buttons yourself. Shifters that are separate USB devices don't seem to be supported, unless they are listed above.

If you have problems with FFB auto-centering heavily on Logitech wheels (e.g. G920), switching the TYPE from "Logitech Legacy" to "DirectInput" may help.

A steering wheel range of 390° corresponds to the cockpit steering wheel animation in the game.

As for the Gearshift, I use a TH8A shifter which isn't picked up by the game, so I found program called Antimicro and it picks up the shifter. I assigned Low / Auto / Reverse, etc to the Numpad keys, then assigned those numbers to the proper spots on my shifter, it works really well actually and only took a minute.

Suggestion from JTT for unsupported shifters:
As long as its detected by AUTOHOTKEY, you can use the shifter to issue "keyboard commands". Changing gears works nice.
https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Tutorial.htm

To access these presets, you will need to:
  • Go into the "Controls" menu
  • Proceed to the "Wheels" tab.
  • Once there, press the "Defaults" button in order to set the defaults to your specific device.
  • If you're using a manual gear shifter, check the checkbox "Manual Gearbox With Clutch"

Anyone having problem with Thrustmaster wheels, disconnect shifter if you have one. The game wont detect the wheel if the shifter is also plugged in.

I recently upgraded my T3PA pedals to a set of Thrustmaster TLCM Pedals.

The T3PA pedals worked fine with the game, running through the weel base.
I can't however the TLCM pedals to register in the game through USB.

The cockpit view steering wheel animation uses 390° turning range. If you set your wheel to this range with your driver software, it matches up.

Simply striking a wheel from the list for issues like these doesn't seem warranted.
I was not asking (nor suggesting) you strike a wheel from your list. I was simply pointing out that the list of officially supported wheels is less than the in-game profiles, ie: they have all these wheel profiles in place, yet the official list of supported wheels is much less ( 8 as far as I can tell).
You're using an old list to argue that the wheels that have profiles in the game now are not officially supported?

How about the new FAQ? See the last item here:

Thank you mendel for providing a more up to date wheel list...I shall retract my argument :)

Got this game on Epic and really love the concept of the game, but it's unplayable since wheel support for Fanatec CSL isn't working properly. Please add proper support for the Fanatec wheels.

Some wheels just don´t have pre-defined bindings that doesnt mean they don´t work just set them up and you should be good to go.

Hi, VG. :) It should, yah. As I recall, though, it wasn't recognizing the button pushes when attempting to bind them, though. Just ignored them completely. :( Maybe this has changed since last October/November timeframe, and actually binds now? That would work for me, if so!

I have a G25 and coulden't get it to work yesterday..., had to refund before 2h limit.

It still just ignores the input.

I also have a Trust GXT that worked both on SP and MR.., but not on Snowrunner.

Aww, man, sorry; I feel your pain... Spin Tires & Mud Runner worked fine for me, too, which just makes this hurt even more. You'd think steering wheel & pedal support wouldn't be so driver-specific these days and have some standards going on such that this wouldn't even be a question.

Decided not to even try the game again until I have validated reliable news that wheel support _truly_ works. Hate to do it, really, but pretty much writing SnowRunner off at this point as a no-go.

Did you try setting it to direct input in-game for the G27?
Anyone having problem with Thrustmaster wheels, disconnect shifter if you have one. The game wont detect the wheel if the shifter is also plugged in.

I'm putting that on the first post, thank you!

I have a thrustmaster tx and can confirm it does not work even though it's listed. Should I just get a refund?

Does it work with the shifter disconnected?

Use the "Logitech Legacy" setting.
burgerbait May 23, 2021 @ 4:56pm
I tried disconnecting my shifter but I have a fanatec shifter and not a thrustmaster one anyway
burgerbait May 23, 2021 @ 4:56pm
I also tried the logitech legacy setting
