Co-op issues
I have several friends and we are all trying to join the same co-op server and it will not allow more than two of us to play at a time if a third joins it kicks the second person anyone know a fix.

host = server
bad internet = auto kicking

So... this now also happens if crossplay is disabled on all players game settings?

Exactly!

My Observations and experience after well over 2000 Hours in Coop alone with no issues on Steam/Epic/PSN:
1) There are no Dedicated Servers in SnowRunner.
2) The Host's Platform (PC/PS/Xbox) becomes the Coop Server.
3) Internet Connection matters and will determine how many can join the Coop.
4) If you encounter issues with 4 people joining the session, then try switching Hosts. In this case, the player with the strongest Internet connection should be the Host.
5) If one player is on Xbox, there is a good chance they are causing the problem. The only time we have not been able to get 4 people into a Coop Session has been if an Xbox player was in the mix. Again, not always, but it happens a lot when an Xbox player is involved.
6) Use of Mods can be a hit and miss. In most cases they are not worth the effort if playing Cross-Platform.

If everyone is on Steam, this has always solved the problem for us:
1) Have everyone restart Steam, and then restart their game.
2) Have the person with the strongest Internet connection be the Host.
3) Have only one person join at a time.
4) If Steam Invite doesn't work, try Join by Code method of joining.

impossible to find a session in "public", the wheel logo spins, spins, spins... as if there was nothing

before it worked very well, I found sessions very quickly, what did SABER do in the meantime? a solution to play in co-op?

For me, switching of crossplay in the options helped finding coop sessions, before I got endless searching for players without results.

Not sure what's up with joining Randoms, it has been a while since I've joined Randoms, but I just tested it to see if I could join a Random and I get the same thing.
In the past I would join a Random in less than a minute, but after 20 minutes of testing, I can't join one either.

I noticed others are having the same problems.

Crossplay = Off

This 'hack' so far seems to fix the 'can't join sessions' issue for me. This also helped with our 'organized' ground of three players solving the issue of 'kicking out' a player when a new one joins the session (but here, every player including the host/server has to switch crossplay off to make it work).

For me it seems the crossplay feature is currently broken. Further, I noticed that players who have turned crossplay on only can join sessions with players also having that feature enabled and turning crossplay off lets you only connect to players who also have this turned off. I think that feature has to be reworked and the setting has to vanish, crossplay should work more automated because at it currently stands, the setting is dividing the community into two groups of players which can't join the other group.

Also have in mind that steam invite does not work if crossplay is enabled and invite codes are not available if crossplay is disabled.

My internet is pretty good btw, 250 Mbit DSL and by the testing sites I have a good ping, but this might differ depending on location of host relative to my own loactaion of course.

the solution is to be tabbed out of the game window while any player more than the second joins, once you have your third in the game, you can tab back in and it wont kick the last one. if you want to be extra safe, just tab out until everyone has joined, and simply tab back in.

I'm experiencing the same problem mentioned by the OP, but another issue I noticed that was introduced more or less at the same time, is that it's also harder to get into different servers than it used to be. I don't know if it's because everybody's having issues and now there's less hosts, of if it's related to the changes that allow people to rejoin servers they leave or get kicked out of.

Before, if I landed in a server where everybody was an idiot using a Mastodon in Black River, I'd just leave and I'd always find a new server after going through the search.

Now I just keep getting thrown back into the exact same cesspool with the same three incompetent idiots using Mastodons in Black River. I have to either go into non-crossplay to get a different server, or host my own.

Nobody joins if I host, BTW. I've spent hours hosting without people joining.

I also can no longer block non-Steam hosts that I don't want to be with in order to get the game to search for different ones, because console player blocking is only possible via the recent players list and the most recent player entries in my list are from 2023. It just stopped updating.

I tested by removing Crossplay mode and activating the ports recommended by Saber, I was able to play in co-op but after 2 hours, disconnection, then I restart a search but I end up with the same player then disconnection, I restart again, and I end up with the same person again, and disconnection again....

basically I managed to play but other problems arise... it's sad, it worked super well before, it ruins this game mode so much... SABER hear our call for help!!!

Are they even aware of these problems ?
