Basic game contains 3 regions (12 maps) and many trucks hidden on those maps.
Next seasons are simply next regions/next maps. If you play the whole base game and you like it you can buy more regions/maps.
No major bugs.
https://www.maprunner.info/vehicles
There is a lot of map DLC, also available as seasons, there is *some* optional vehicle skin DLC and "some* optional vehicle DLC.
Bugs wise, unlike ETS 2 and ATS, multiple switching boxes and a mix of one brand wheel with second brand pedals are not supported.

Brands like Moza have their own set up page for SnowRunner and pages for other titles too.
The game is really designed for using with a controller, rather than a wheel and pedal set. If using a wheel then the operating range of a wheel should be set to 390 degrees and disable the match pedal setting to minimise the brake button being overly likely to switch you into reverse.

There is an image that best explains the Year pass options, you can enlarge this to read better. At present Season 14 is the most up to date release, with 15 and 16 yet to get a release date. Season 15 may arrive in December or early '25.
The basic game really does give you a significant amount of content to start with.
The following maps are in the base game:
Michigan, USA
Black River
Smithville Dam
Island Lake
Drummond Island
Alaska, USA
North Port
Mountain River
White Valley
Pedro Bay
Taymyr, Russian Federation
Drowned Lands
Quarry
Zimnegorsk
Rift
There are thirty two additional maps to date released. Each season has a variable amount of maps available as either individual map DLC or available as "season pass" content.
Thanks. Is multiplayer good?
However, as those who do play multiplayer, then they will tell you that they love it. There is no way to communicate using text or microphone, so you may want to see if there is a SnowRunner Multiplayer Discord to join. I assume that this is what people are using to communicate while playing multiplayer.
Alright. Thank you.

Might be worth starting a new topic asking about how do other PC players communicate in SnowRunner Co-op.
Multiplayer is great, IMO it is much more fun than single player. Don't get me wrong, single player is a lot of fun as well.
Fun enough I have the game on 3 platforms: Epic, Steam, and PlayStation.
Over 5000 hours with probably more than 2000 of those hours in Multiplayer.
When Joining Random Coops one issue is there are no Comms in SnowRunner.
Another issue with multiplayer is there are times it can be a challenge to get all your friends in the game. When one joins it sometimes kicks other players. There are work-around's to get everyone in through trial and error when that happens.
If you encounter that, I direct you to this post, be sure and read All Comments:

Most of our communication has been with Discord, which is probably the most common method of communication used.
Background:
I first started out on PlayStation playing with friends I had on PlayStation. We used the PlayStation's built in communication system.
I liked the game well enough I got it for PC on Epic and then later on for Steam, mainly for the extra Save slots. I was testing and playing a lot of Mod Maps at the time and needed more save slots.
When Cross-play became available, I started joining Public Cross-play Randoms from my PC. Communication was difficult, because there is no in-game communications available.
I landed in mostly games hosted by a PlayStation Host for some reason, so what I would do is use my PlayStation account to message the Host to establish comms.
Once I established Comms, we would use either the PlayStation Comms, or if they were familiar with Discord, I would invite them to join my Discord server.
I met a lot of friends using this method at first.
Once I learned there was an official SnowRunner Discord, I would go there and meet new friends as well.
In the Official SnowRunner Discord Link that hackintoshchap provided, there are several Voice Channels for Coop. There is also a Text Channel where you can post messages looking for other players to Coop with.
Hope this helps!
1) A lot better then Spin tires :-))
2a) DLC are dirt cheap in my opinion, most are additional maps and vehicles combined.
2b) You don't strictly need DLC vehicles that do not come with maps. Some are free.
3) No, but the physics have some quirks. These actually date back to Spin tires and Mud Runner as a lot of the base code obviously originated from Spin Tires.
What you get compared to Spin Tires :
- A colorful more realistic looking world that is not depressing to play
- More cargoes to transport
- Some story to the cargo's you transport ( missions )
- A LOT more vehicles and trailers
- Choice in tires, engines, ground clearance and drive train.
What disappoints ( in my view )
- The gearbox (still) does not seem to increase torque but ( still ) regulates wheel speed
- Snowrunner uses chained tires for hard surfaces, it does nothing in snow. This is not realistic.
- Crane controls are as wonky as they always were in Spintires
- Attaching a trailer ( or farming implement ) that is in an awkward position can launch you high in the air.
- Non-fastened cargo's ( still ) do not register as a load on the suspension.
I still own Spintires and Mudrunner but never replayed them after i got Snowrunner. I consider Snowrunner to be an evolved version of Spin Tires and Mudrunner, although many claim the off road physics in Mudrunner were better. I am unsure of this, wheel grip and non-AWD or AWD physics look real enough in Snowrunner.
plenty of other vehicles (sometimes very OP) and new maps as well
Any workaround for this is a myth. Nothing works. If the game decides it isn't going to let 4 players connect, the only chance you have is just joining another group of players entirely and hope it lets you connect to those ones. It's probably based on some garbage P2P connection code and it's jank as all hell. I have to lock my games to 3 people or everyone always gets kicked to menu when the 4th joins. Any workaround anyone tries to tell you is a myth, I can guarantee you from the 100's of hours i've spent trying to get 4 players to connect.
I don't think very much of a dev that can leave their game this broken for this long while constantly releasing other titles. They clearly don't give a ♥♥♥♥, or are unable or unwilling to fix the problem.
If you wanna play solo, or with 1 other friend, you are golden. 2 friends, you will get issues here and there. 3 friends is pretty much right out unless you want to be constantly tearing your hair out.
If you love Spintires, then try Mudrunner or Expeditions. Snowrunner definitely went "quantity over quality" compared to the previous two games.
At the very least, buy only base game first. It's still ~200 hours of content if you do it all and by then all of the game's flaws will become apparent.
You can count on 1000 of hours in game.
If you dont want to buy season passes for now, just buy game without any DLC's and if you finish everytihing in base game and you like it and want more, then buy season passes. There is not necessary to have all content brought from beginning, it doesnt change much in game progression.
