Medium logs
What is the most efficient way to haul medium logs? i have a mission to deliver 6 medium logs in 2 different locations, but seems to only be able to haul one load at the time

get mods where you can put the medium log trailer on your vehicle and after it you can haul 2 Medium logs, one one truck and one on trailer

the only way realy has been with mods. or using the winch to tow another truck/trailer behind you

Either winch another truck or use a mod. Vanilla logging is a big pain so a small mod for medium logs on a truck isnt a big problem.

Medium log missions are what made me start using mods. There was no way I was going to make all those trips with just a trailer, or towing a second trailer. So I got a mod that adds a medium log addon for trucks. That way I could carry two loads at once, truck and trailer.

Then there's the hack/workaround where you can carry unpacked logs in a sideboard trailer (which allows you to carry several loads of logs at one time, since you can put 6-9 logs or more in a trailer), and when you reach the destination, transfer 3 logs at a time to a log trailer, pack, unload, repeat.

I'm with the others. Get mods, the Vanilla logging system is a massive waste of time and poor design. In fact, I disliked the Vanilla implementation so much, I made my own awful logs trailer mod[snowrunner.mod.io]. There are other much better ones out there, though. For something less awful, the recently-renamed Titanium truck can carry 2 loads of Mediums on a fairly decent albeit GIGANTIC truck.

Am I the only person that doesn't mind repeating the same trip over and over with the logs? For me the repetition helps me drive better and notice things about the terrain to either save gas or avoid problems (like tipping over). I still haven't put in any mods after putting in a lot of hours because I want to finish the base game first. At the beginning I had so many "oops!" moments. I guess one cool thing about the game is that you can make it as grindy as you want. I'll definitely try out the logging shortcut mods when I get through the base game.

Doing the same thing over and over again with no variation gets really boring really quickly. At least with other missions, the game asks you to move different loads along different routes. You might end up driving past the same spots many times, but it offers at least SOME kind of mental stimulation. The exact same trip over and over again causes my brain to shut down and look for other stimuli, meaning I'm barely even paying attention to the game.

I get that some people like that, in the "Euro Truck Simulator" sense, but this game HAS all the mechanics necessary to offer more compelling gameplay. Asking me to repeat a trip 6 times feels like an old-school MMO asking me to kill 50 of the same thing in the same area. Whatever fun there might have been the first few times doesn't last.

If you can handle to log crane it becomes very simple moving massive amounts of medium logs at once. You can move up to 12 packs of them in 2 trucks.

Download a mod that will play the game for you, then you can sit back and relax.

At that point, why not just download a straw man?

1. Attach trailer + use winch to tow the second one. In that case you will load two packs in one trip. Or you can use Caterpillar 745c with addon + winch for the same purpose.
2. 6 auto loads = 6*3 = 18 manually loaded logs. You can put them the single sideboard semi-trailer using crane, then drive truck with this semi-trailer + truck with crane + medium log trailer to the unloading point, manually unload logs to the medium log trailer there and complete the order.

I hate it, but I do it anyway. Although, I usually tow a rig around so I can do two loads at a time, although it feels like it takes twice as long anyway. lol

If you play on hard mode, logging economically impractical, especially in case you need to buy fuel 6 - 8$.

I have yet to get to the "logging missions", but do you really have to do them all at once? Can you not activate the "task" and do one trip, then keeping that task open activate another task, do that and then go back to do another logging trip, and so on until they are completed.

You could, yes. Some of those missions require a LOOOT of trips, though. Amur had missions with 6 Medium Logs, for example. Unless you're very good at planning, you're going to run into issues.
