How is the keyboard + mouse support?

I'm thinking of getting this game because I've heard it is a really fun game without being super intense. But would love to hear from players how well the game plays with just keyboard + mouse? I know sometimes driving games just don't work well with that combo, but truly shine with a console controller or even a steering wheel controller.

Keyboard and mouse is the only thing i use. You don't need anything else for this game.

Only thing i use. Playing it with a wheel and pedals can be fun at times ( and then in cab view ) but i still prefer keyboard+mouse as a default and in the 3rd person view.

It is the same for games like War Thunder : i have a joystick, but the flying with mouse + keyboard somehow feels better.

MKB is actually preferable; the driving is so arcade that analog control doesn't matter, but there are still menus, maps, tasks/missions, switching between trucks, winching, etc. which are all much easier with the mouse.

You can also bind gears to hotkeys.

Use a pressure sensitive keyboard for best results. Some trucks steer to fast so you will fishtail when pulling loads.
(Looking at you Highway Trucks)
Other than that Mouse and Keyboard are easy.
I would suggest Changing your winch controls to mouse. I use button 4 and 5 for cast and release.
This has saved me alot of times when in a possible roll over.

It's good on KB&M. Seems designed for it. Dunno anyone that uses controller, but I see wheel users complaining that the setup is not "realistic" for them all the time here. KB&M users, I never see any complaints.

There are a few times I have needed the controller because the keyboard is all-or-nothing and needed the precision speed control over some of the ice maps, and also helps a bit for the steering. Also I do swap between WASD and controller since gives me a bit of carpal tunnel relief...

no that depends on the suspension choice you make in the garage

I meant for the trucks with active suspension.
