If you´re more into rockclimbing / crawling stuff expeditions may fit better.
and for snowrunner, even without DLC you can have many hours of fun :D so its up for sale atm. can´t do anything wrong for this price.
In the military i learned trucks are just that much more capable off road vehicles. The size of the wheels ( and their profile surface of the tires ) matters more then any other factors that come after that such as ground clearance and engine power, differential locks and AWD.
Unless you want to hang vehicles on ropes off cliffs.....that kind of probably possible IRL, but still highly uncommon acrobatics is not really for me. Hanging scouts on a crane for rescue missions down cliffs in Snowrunner is enough hanging for me :-))
As others have said though, Expeditions doesn't involve trailers and is exploration oriented with basically no roads/trails. Snowrunner on the other hand is all about hauling cargo from point A to point B with some scouting involved as well.
The one thing I do like about Expeditions is it does seem to play a bit quicker. Snowrunner can be a real drag at times, but because of that it is very rewarding. Expeditions may be the same way though as you progress further into the game.
I will also get Expeditions at some point, but I have many, many hours to go in Snowrunner first...
its not so much about the issues bringing the reviews down in expeditions its the more restrictive gameplay style bringing it down and extra setup for missions bringing it down and ya cant have multiple vehicles around at the same time like you can in snowrunner
The multiple vehicle being taken away sounds disappointing. Isn't most of the gameplay loop using multiple vehicles for support? Maybe they will add free dlc to add some snow runner features that were taken away.
I decked out my scout trucks to basically serve as mountain rescue vehicles for my larger trucks.
