Tatra T815-7 and The Atom truck’s fixes

Tried to post on game’s forum, but the bloody thing won’t log in – registered, no errors, just readdressed to front page without a log in. I don’t care how, but these changes are necessary for these two trucks, admins can pass it to devs, or someone replicate this post on forum, can even post as your own original suggestion, it’d be especially useful if posted by a PTS member.

All Tatras in the game were released with broken suspension, which was pointed out by users on the forum on during PTS, but no changes have been made.

I fixed it, not ideal, but now semi-axles articulate with the wheels much more than currently is in the game; overall wheel placement, articulation, and suspension stiffness had been fixed, and an evac suspension was added to balance off the rear with ‘active’ suspension when towed truck is loaded. Also, wheel scale is set to 0.6715 (52.46") – matching the size of 16R20, compared to default 0.64 (50") – makes a significant difference.

Xmls of both truck, and its suspension, they include all the necessary changes, while default snippets are commented out. All the work and testing is already done, just incorporate these changes – I hate to see the poor state of this vehicle.

The Truck form Atom DLC has much more fundamental issues. For a start – its offroad capability is gimped by its rear safety bar – an option is necessary to remove, or fold the bar using truck options menu. Rear bogies are cursed in this game on every truck featuring them with leaf spring suspension, unless it’s a solid one like Kenworth 963, or FEMM (though a solid beam FLEXES, though it’s easy to fix). Link below shows the downsides of non-rigged rear bogie – no articulation whatsoever.

Additionally, another curse of many trucks – fenders, this truck need its fenders extended outwards, and fenders on second axle enlarged to accommodate 16R20 Be-95, like the real counterpart KamAZ 65808 does, not mentioning the absence of a spare wheel mount that comes out of factory that this truck fits (thus so much empty space on the right behind cab).

i used the tatra t815-7 for alot of missions and not really having any issues with it

If you want to push some changes, hang around on the PTS section of official Discord - the "lead dev" occasionally shows up there and if you're persistent enough you may be able to get them into the game.

I know one guy begged for a crane on Tatra Phoenix and apparently it's coming with next DLC.

As far as I know the Tatra Force suspension changes are also already on the PTS but I don't know the details.

other then getting stuck in some very deep mud from time to time depending on the map (nothing the winch cant handle) its not broke to me in its current state

It works ≠ it works correctly. Never noticed the semi-axles off-synched with the wheels? Or rear wheels pop outside fenders even at extreme loads? Take a look at how the real truck looks like.

Isn't that how the tatra suspension is supposed to work? It works in real life like it works in the game, where the wheels are pointed inwards:

They are pointed inwards but should even out under load. Front wheels do this but rear ones do not because the suspension strength is set way too high.

By the way OP if you ever manage to contact the devs you can also ask them to do something about the Tatra crane(and the Multipurpose Cargo Module crane since it's the same) which has such limited movement that it can't even load a size 1 cargo next to itself.
