Difference between the Cranes?
There are two small Cranes you can attach: The IM50 and the LC 3.8
Is there a difference between those two small ones?

And there are also two heavy-weight cranes. The yellow and the red one.
Whats the difference between them?

Heard the yellow American crane is stronger.

the American cranes are stronger than the Russian cranes

the larger cranes have a longer reach with the winch line, the smaller cranes have limited reach to where you have to be closer to it

You can also run a sideboard bed and smaller crane together on some trucks

also if you want you can cheat with it and carry more then the truck is meant for, it really cuts down on trips for larger missions, saves on fuel too

As above, the strength of the actuator(s) differs ( how much you can lift with the arm ) and the reach differs. The strength of the cable pull seems to be determined by the power of your winch.

This is true for the smaller cargo cranes too.

Still, the heaviest crane we have in game is still a pretty mediocre one, but these are frame add ones you can detach from the truck. I guess for heavier cranes the truck loses ability to carry anything else and factually become a self propelled crane rather then a truck.

The yellow, american, side crane has considerably longer reach than the blue Russian variant.

thanks. but can the yellow one also carry heavier weight, or same as blue one?

Small cranes: Bandit crane > American (yellow) crane > Tatra (grey) crane > Russian (blue) crane
Big cranes: Russian crane > Heavy crane > American crane

it depends on what you are lifting and lenth you have the boom set to, the more you have the boom out the less it will lift, the more you have the boom in the stronger it is, so for heavier items you will need to get as close to it as you can

At the same distance the yellow side crane has more strength than the blue side crane. So it has better length and better strength at equivalent length.

The US minicrane is considerably heavier, weighing almost 5t., while the RU minicrane is less than 2t.

Both of them can easily load a 2-sized cargo piece to the bed next to them, which is all that's required from a minicrane. So the fact that US crane is "stronger" is completely irrelevant, it's still plain worse because it weighs twice as much than the RU one.

Interesting stats. However, the fact that the US crane is stronger is hardly irrelevant. Depending on the truck, when using a side crane with a semi trailer, the distance can be such that the Russian variant can barely reach the trailer, and to the extent that it can it has no power when fully extended. Same situation when trying to load a normal trailer as well. Both the extended reach and greater power makes a considerable difference.

But knowing the weight difference is certainly a variable to consider as the extra weight can be a liability.

Well in my opinion it is not irrelevant how much stronger the yellow small crane is. It IS relevant because we (my team and me) have often situations where you are underway with your truck and for example need to pull out or carry something where every kg more a cran can pull is relevant. good to know anyway
