when you get more vehicles unlocked btw dont just fast travel back to the garage everytime though, take a different vehicle out cause ya never know ya might need a rescue vehicle nearby
The tricks I have right now get stuck so damn easy and I can't really buy any mud tires for the larger trucks that are needed to transport things. I do make use of the winch frequently but even then it can be painfully slow going or I simply get stuck with nothing nearby to winch to.
I've finally found both a raised suspension and AWD upgrade for this Fleetstar...hopefully I can finally start to make some good progress.
BTW the AWD upgrade for the Fleetstar was directly in front of the truck when you found the truck. So unless you went out of your way to avoid the upgrade when you found the truck you would have gotten both of them at the same time.
Leaving trailers where they are has it's uses though. Same as not recovering trucks but leaving them where they are. There is always some mission near that requires their use, and you don't have to drive all the way from the garage to there.
So rather then fussing about "too easy" teleports to garage you could consider leaving the truck where it is and using another from the garage. Even in the base game you will acquire several trucks so this is quite doable.
The thing is in normal mode trucks are fueled and repaired whenever you turn them in the garage. This is not the case in hard mode so less incentive to to back there. To not have to return to the garage in hard mode or similar set mode+ you will have to use fueling and repair trucks or trailers. In normal mode you will have to do that too in remote maps without a garage.
Luckily there are often fuel and repair trailers lingering about so you don't have to drive back or buy them. I personally send a fuel truck and a repair truck anyway as my trucks always need fuel or repair where the fuel or repair trailer is not at.
Then I found them all sitting in the other garage bays when I finally pressed the right button to scroll over lol
In theory it is harmless. however, you will pay in time from recovering over and over, when you may need to just send out a second vehicle to pull yourself out.
Also, you can winch the second truck, so the first truck may slow down and get stuck, but if you activate the towed truck, it will help push you to safety.
yea the mastodon takes away all the challenge of the game, I wouldn't use it too much or you will get bored fast
