Deliver FEMM 37-AT
Hi,
Just doing the mission Abandoned Giant in the latest DLC to get the FEMM truck, and it says i need to deliver it to the power plant. Does this mean I need to tow the truck all the way to the power plant, as I cannot get into it to drive it there myself

Yep just tow it over there.

A frustrating feature to say the least. I also find it very frustrating to not be able to get into vehicles like that to drive them onto a trailer. It has made loading trucks onto a trailer nearly impossible most of the time for me given the games options for that task.

Just did but the P12 with maintenance addon i usually send for such towing jobs seriously struggled :-)) In the end it managed it though, with some yanking an winching here and there when power seemed to fall short to keep it going.

Maybe the KW 963 would have been the better option. Or the Zikz 612 H.

The problem with this one seems to be it has no own power when towed, nor can you fuel or repair it. Or unload it.

I used the Zikz for that one and I had no issues fueling it up prior to towing it.

I used a P12 I think myself with nothing on it [fueled it up previously in exploring earlier]. Turned it around and went the way I came in to get it where it was "needed", and unloaded it.

The FEMM is... Its ok, but I'm not a fan of the articulation, but it works.

I used the tiny Tatra 805 to bring it to the other map. Was a bit of a struggle but it mostly drove itself there. On the other side I used a Boar and even forgot to turn the FEMM on as the Boar pulled it with such ease.

Tatarin worked fine although it struggled a bit in deep mud. had to fuel the FEMM to have its engine support the tow train there.

I found out pulling the disassembled CAT trailer with the AZOV 732 10 ( in raised position ) through the deep mud and some uphill parts, it was the most powerful truck to do it solo, easily beating the ZIKZ 612 H that was towing a Derry Longhorn 4520 that was coupled to the CAT trailer. The Derry solo failed ( despite being 8x8 with huge wheels and a monstrous engine ) but when towed uses only rear wheel drive with no diff lock an that made the ZIKZ 612 H fail too, especially uphill.

Lots of "trucks" have huge wheels and engines but struggle with their own weight uphill. And a solo 10x10 with large wheels seems to beat a solo 8x8 or 6x6 with large wheels no matter how monstrous that vehicle is.

Seems a good choice to pull the FEMM 37 with it's load too.

Its really tricky to find a proper tow truck as monstrous heavy trailer requires unusual low saddle and a tow truck with lots of power + the trailer sits very low so easily collides with terrain. I managed to pull it with Derry 3194 but that wasnt easy. First tried with Tayga 6436 but that was hopeless
