Out with the Old question
So I have the Out with the Old contract and keen to deliver the massive construction rig trailer. I'm practicing the rock crossing route near the tunnel to Drummond. But for some reason I keep getting stuck trying to climb up the rock. I'm trying this with the P16 and even when I switched to low, it won't bite. So, is there something I'm missing here? Or am I just a noob?

Also, I know there's an alternate route which goes through the dam's tight hairpin, are there any tips so that I can turn more easily there? Other than switching trucks?

I don't really know which route you are referring to here, a screenshot would be helpful.

The shortest route I know involves turning left immediately after entering Smithville Dam, and then crossing the water. When leaving the water, go around to the left to join the path that goes around the site and enters it.
The P16 managed that fine, I've done it twice.

This is the route I was talking about. I tried it first time as a practice run and the front wheels just won't go over the rocks on the left side. I already tried switching to low and low- and still no bite. Do I have to just push the thing into high and send it to the rocks hoping it would bounce and get up?

Hard to say without knowing which rock you are getting stuck on. If you are talking about getting onto the rock path in the river at the start of the crossing you can ride some of the larger rocks with the right wheel and use them like a ramp. If you aren't practicing with the trailer but got the bridge already completed you might as well grab the trailer for testing because hauling the trailer is likely to change the dynamic of how the truck rides quite a bit. And if it works out, you already got it there.

On the turn, prolly some creative winching of the trailer to get it to crab walk or detaching and winching the trailer directly would speed it up if making the turn normally isnt working out and you really don't want to use a second truck at all. But from what I've seen you could likely flip and lose both the truck and the trailer in the river and retry before taking the long way would be done.

On a side note, be careful not to bottom out the trailer going through the center of the island. Some trucks can make it going next to the flag just fine, and others have to ride way way out on the beach with an added risk of tipping.

I see, thanks for the tip. I got stuck on the little rock lip next to the bigger one.

I know the route you're talking about, I suggest going over the dam and through the farm, you can make the turn with the P16 but it's super tight and you're going to rub both sides.

The problem with going over the rock crossing is once you reach the other side the path to get to the delivery zone is full of stumps, I made the mistake of going this way my second playthrough and I got stuck on stumps for an hour and a half.

Turn hard left as you leave the water, join the track that comes down from the Logistics base, and enter the drilling site that way. Easy peasy.
