How to deliver spare drilling parts?
Hi, so I'm doing the Lost Container mission in the Steel River Township contract in Michigan and I can't seem to figure out how to complete it. It says I need to deliver to the Warehouse Drilling Spare Parts x1.

I found the crate of drilling parts, loaded it in the truck, went to the warehouse and first I tried to deliver the crate through the automatic loading menu but that didn't work, then I tried to unload it manually using the crane on my truck, I set the crate down on the loading dock (where it shows the crane icon) and that didn't do anything either so I'm not sure what else to do.

How do I deliver the drilling parts so I can complete this part of the contract?

I can be mistaken in the mission but there is one that requires to load a 5 slot drill ( that looks like a drill and not a crate ) in Smithville Dam and it won't work when you do not fasten the load so it isn't registered. That usually happens when someone wants to cram a load on something that does not fit, so you cannot fasten it.

If that is not the mission you are on be sure to :

- fasten the load so it is "officially" registered as a load, do not transport stuff unfastened.
- some missions require to drive over the delivery area with the load/trailer instead of unloading it.

Ahh I see, I think it was likely because it was not fastened to the truck. I didn't know I had to do that. This is my first time using a crane to load items and not just automatically. I'll give that a try and see what happens, thanks for the advice.

Yep, that was the problem, I finished the contract mission now, thanks again for the advice.

But IRL you have to fasten loads on trucks too...right ? :-)))

Could be the drivers job though. Then it is imaginable how you made that "mistake" in game. When i drove trucks IRL, a long time ago, i had to fasten loads myself.

Delivery requirements in game can be quirky though, as they do not always require unload ( C key ) in the target area.....and a somehow not fastened ( packed ) load will not be recognized by the game........struggled with that many times myself, as it is "game logic"

Lol yeah fastening the loads was never explained in any tutorials or hints so I didn't think about it.
