Amur is kicking my butt!
I got the ZikZ 605R from Amur a few months ago and I am done with Wisconsin and Kola. Now I am back at Amur. I'm in Cosmodrome and all of my supporting trucks are stuck everywhere. Many are blocking major roads.

Is there a major truck must haves list for Amur? I have a dozen vehicles scattered all over, either stuck for flipped. I have deliveries abandoned everywhere.

Right now I am stick in a lake in a pit and can't get my Azov AE out of the ice. The ice is blocking me from getting out of the water and no more winch points to pull from.

I am near Meteo Point at the lake and can't get out to reach my mission.

I used the Paystar 5600 on the ice/rock river crossing between farm and rocket launch point.
Good enough to tow trucks getting stuck in the ice or act as anchor point.
I used the Zikr everywhere the standard trucks failed to get through

Mastadon and Klobes. Boar and Navistar if you can keep fuel close by. Amur is for the strongest. Unless you like winching the entire trek.

I skipped the 5600TS, as it is so long. I just assumed the extra wide turn radius and length would give too many headaches of multi-point turns or getting high-centered more easily.

Maybe I'll try it out as it doesn't need a trailer as often.

Yeah, I have been using Zikz 605R a lot. But it doesn't have a lot of add-ons in the garage. It has only large trailer hitch, so trailers are extra large as well. Plus no chains, which is a big PITA.

Right now I'm trying to get the active suspension for the Azov 73210, but it is blocked in everywhere, and most ingredients are in other maps. This map seems to want me to craft a lot, but not enough ingredients nearby or hard to get to.

Thanks for the help. It gives me some ideas to try out now.

What is Mastadon? It sounds like a truck I don't have yet. I have only purchased Season 1 DLC so far. at this pace, it may be the last one. Grrrrr. LOL

Yeah, I am winching more than normal this round. It feels like the start of the game when I had street tires and needed to winch everywhere. More Grrr, More LOL

Thanks for the advice, I guess I'm just going to need a bunch of Heavy trucks? And see which ones work for what. At least I am at around 3million credits to spend. So I should be able to outfit almost all of the heavy trucks in the game at once. Then I can pick and choose which ones work for me.

As you are writing you have a lot of flipped trucks laying around I don't think the Paystar 5600 is for you. That truck has one major issue - it loves to flip over.
The Mastodon is a DLC (payed) truck

flat nose kolob for pulling that rocket trailer out of NAI. I tried it once with the dan,(being towed by the 605r). I made it but the tears were a'plenty.

Another trick I did was leave a capable truck on both sides of that stupid ice crossing on the cosodrome map. The one where you have to drive through the farm to get to it. A place to hook a winch to when making that crossing is so much nicer. The one on the side opposite to the farm is good to have chains as it can ferry trucks up the hill to the rocket facility. You will eventually have to haul 3 loads of short logs through here, and if you wipe out the logs on the crossing(lose them under the ice), it is a LONG way to get more.

And there is a task called hard to reach places......It is aptly named. tatra 813 was the ticket for me

The Mastodon is the ZiKZ 612H which comes with the vehicle Mastadon DLC.
A beast of a truck that even surpasses the 605R as it is much more versatile than the 605R. It's a jack of all trades that is pretty much unstoppable.

Any good truck will do. Mack D, Azov 7, Derry Special, Tayga B, Azov 6/Tayga with semis. It's a Hard Mode list so if you exclude cranes and spare wheels then there's more like Tatra F/813, Voron Grad, basically anything with single chain tires.

Mack Defense has turned into a beast for me. My current fleet has four of them so far less reliance these days on Taygas and 605/Mastodon.

OK, I think I got Amur figured out. I basically need a truck in tow at all times to get me through things. One rig is just painfully slow or just gets stuck and I need to rescue it often.

With two trucks, I can getting through it all slowly, but surely. I don't mind the slowness, as much as rescuing/recovering constantly.

It's a sad state now, I literally use a pair of Zikz 605Rs to scout with. LOL

I recently restarted, and did scandinavia first, then straight to Amur. The scout from scandinavia is amazing for Amur in flatbed configuration. Also took the time to get the Kenworth, which works very well, but not everywhere. Mastadon pretty much everywhere when it fits. About halfway so far with only those trucks.

you are using chains on everything that is stuck? what tires
Mogges Jan 8, 2024 @ 4:14am
I did almost everything with the two Azovs: the 73210 and the 64131

Yes, I mostly use chains.

The 73210 is too low and bottoms out everywhere, usually gets stuck on rocks at the ice areas. I am trying to get the active suspension upgrade located in CHERNOKAMENSK.

The 64131 has been getting stuck everywhere as well. It gets stuck on rocks as it is too low and bogs down in snow.

Ditch the chained tires, they ain't going to cut it.
