KB/mouse Steering Autocenter

Just wondering if its possible to enable steering auto center similar to ATS/ETS or hell even farming sim would be better than this.
Tried switching the controller to steering wheel or controller but doesn't effect the KB

with control type set to wheel the tires should be autocenter albeit slowly

hm maybe if you edit the xml file for each of the truck, there is a parameter for backsteering rate. Its different for each truck but mostly between 0.02 to 0.06. If you increase that value I assume it will center the weels much quicker. But you would have to change it for each truck.

The xml files are packed in initial.pak. Although the file has an ending .pak it is actually a zip file and can be opened and extracted with WinRar. You can extract the truck xml files, edit them, and pack them back with WinRar. This way I have modified some parameters like making winches longer, engines consume less fuel etc...

don't forget to make a backup of initial.pak file before you modify it, just in case.

This is the reason I refunded the game. It is unplayable with keyboard and mouse. No matter if you set the control type to wheel, does not change anything. The tires stay left or right with the keyboard, no auto center. If anyone reading this and if you dont have a steering hardware like g29 etc., dont buy this game.

In the game, select SETTINGS from the starting menu, then
Game > Steering Mode: Steering Wheel.
This will enable self centering for both KB and controller.

I happily play with mouse an keyboard. They will autocenter from gravity though, they are not turning back itself once you stop pressing the key. One can easily adapt to that.

Utter nonsense. This is one of the very few games that's actually enjoyable with KB. Current centering is nice, gives fine grained control without needing a wheel. One of the few games I prefer KB far over wheel.

ive been playing with controller for several days and now i have to switch to keyboard and mouse because personal reasons and the controls are utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i have to fight the with the controls all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time. feel scammed

I haven't played in a while, but since Epic Games screwed me, I purchased the Steam version, and I don't remember the steering being so wonky. Did they do something with a patch? I haven't tried the wheel settings solution yet, but came here out of sheer frustration with the non-auto-centering wheels. Maybe I was using a mod that addressed this issue, but out of the box this is nightmarish.
