Yeah, it took me some experimenting to figure out how to place the track pieces. From what I remember, you do have to unpack the trailer, use a separate crane to unload the track from the trailer and place it onto the ground, then you have to have a truck close enough to trigger the "C" hotkey for interacting with the cargo. Once you do that, it'll bring up the typical menu for delivering the cargo and completing the contract / mission step.
I'm afraid, in your case, that you'll have to make another track. This is annoying, because I think that mission requires delivering logs and other stuff just to manufacture new track sections.
In the future when you realize you did something wrong (this is my solution in case I really messed something up), just quickly Alt-F4 out of the game. If you force-quit, the game doesn't have time to save your state, and will restart back at your last auto-save. Yeah, it's cheating, but in some cases it's better than forcing yourself to go through a torturous recovery of some kind by playing fair.
Yeah, I already tried C to place it with the track unloaded on truck bed. I then went to remove cargo from inside the truck, and I was expecting the cargo to have an "X" on the cargo for me to manually delete it, like all other cargo. But sadly, it just deleted the track piece. I wasn't expecting the track to be deleted from inside the truck.
And yes, there are plenty of resources to craft the track. Worst case is I need to go back to the previous map and make more metal beams or get more wooden planks.
What is Suppr?
But seriously, maybe it's a Mac operating system thing?
Personally, I just use ALT+F4 to close apps. It will even bring up to shut down windows, as the last close function.
Thanks.
