I don't understand your problem.
Are wanting the 1st person In-cabin view camera to go back to where you had it, or are you wanting it to go back to center facing forward?
If you want the 1st person in-cab view camera to go forward center....
If you are in the 1st person in-cab view, and then go to 3rd person view, and Back to 1st person view, the In-cab camera automatically centers facing forward anyway.
So why would you need a "Fix" for this?
Unless you are wanting the camera to go "exactly" where you had it when you left the in-cab view like it does for the 3rd person view, then yes, there is no fix because the In-Cab view always goes back to center regardless of where you had it.
Edit: I was just looking for a faster more convenient way of doing it is all. Switching from 1st to 3rd and back to 1st ends up making me crash sometimes.
I get it, I use a controller with the Right Toggle (RT) set to low sensitivity for slow panning and drive a lot in 1st person. When looking to the side and have to quickly go back to the front, in order to get there quick, I have to go to third person, and then back to 1st person to get it there fast.
Be nice if there was a way to get it there quicker without having to go to 3rd person and back to 1st.
I could just increase the sensitivity of my RT, but I do a lot of recording and don't like the fast camera movement. I like a smooth transition of the camera when panning around the vehicle.
For external camera I like to use the "old camera" movement setting (like it is in Mudrunner and Spintires), it's a little tricky to get the hang at first of but I can get some really cool looking angles of the trucks and terrain which is impossible to do with the way the external camera works by default in SR. It's helpful for scouting out the terrain around you as well.
