This game is a mess. How is any of this acceptable?

I am honestly ashamed that i re-bought this on steam because EPG sucks even more somehow. From mod.io ruining my account when i connected to it with steam and erasing all my mods in an account merge, to aborted connections because of "impossible to subscribe to mods error" no matter how many mods my friend removes even matching the ones i have manually. I am also significantly angry that it took me an hour to find the mods folder on macos because not only is it within the package contents of the app but its hidden so you cant see it without knowing the key shortcut. I am coming to the conclusion that the devs of this game are the dumbest smart people on the planet. The forum is inundated with people who are as angry as i am. I want my wasted evening back. I am tired of spending more time setting up games than actually playing them because devs cant pull thair heads out of theor rears and fix their games. why the hell is mod.io the only option? why are mods hidden in the worst location imaginable on mac? Why cant devs make good working games anymore? Why do invite links for the game not do anything at all half the time requiring a restart to fix?

idk, i had the game for idk a year or so, let my son play it last night and when i come back it cant even load splash screen without crashing. I was helping him play it he didnt do anything to it, game file integrity is fine but still wont work very weird. I guess qrazy is a lucky one.

I guess I'm lucky too - been playing 1400 hours on a PC with no trouble. Transfered the game to a new PC earlier in the year without trouble.

I guess that 99% of us are just lucky.

Any issue ive run into has EASILY been resolved with a touch of thought. Yes I agree the devs maybe shouldve focused on us PC users totally until every little bug is resolved.

Just restarted this game on PC after nearly completing on PS4 up to season 6. Honestly amazed how smooth it's been. Only issue is bumping my mouse while using the controller and losing all winch point selections.

Won't be lol in 2 years. this thing has dx12 support now through some minor tweaks and ray tracing and its giving my 3080ti r9 a run for its money. Also the bugs are repeatable on my workstation pc because alot of it has to do with mod.io database errors, and steam integration to the multiplayer system. I also know the physic engine bugs are repeatable because its their engine that makes my trucks fly.

sounds like youve totally borked up you modio profile and you should just start fresh.
you can try and sort the issues by logging in and unsubscribing to all the mods you have (change filter to subscribed only). Log in twice to ensure the unsubscribe actually went through.
go to the mods folder and delete any mods they may have lingered.
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\SnowRunner\base\Mods\.modio\mods
then start again fresh with the mods.
We did run into this once where a player downloaded mods while using game pass (u get the not enough ram error) then was stuck in a loop when he switched to steam. The method above fixed that when he resubscribed to the same mods while using steam.
edit: this game gives a 13th gen with a 4090 a run for its money.

Flying trucks make me laugh. Funny as.
BTW only had 1 flying truck in 1400 hours, and one trailer floating along behind my truck like a kite. Light relief from the grind of dealing with difficult terrain.

Oh yeah I’ve already had to do that. It was an account merge because somehow buying the game twice made two modio accounts when it merged it was supposed to reset my account data but instead all my mods were still subbed but invisible to me and still downloading themselves. Had to find all 100 or so and toggle the subscribe button. That was when I figured out the mod folder is hidden the in the application container using the hidden files function. Why would a dev do that?

try trucks with 8 or more wheels, high traction tires, max engine upgrades low gear box, stuff like that. Especially trucks stuck in mud with submerged roots, drag big trailers past them, or even the mission super heavy trailers for things like ww2 bombers. its not funny when it took 3 hours to drive trucks to location because the only garage is on a separate world map
