Confusing geological exploration

It gives you some vague points you have to get to without showing you them on the map and doesn't tell you if you need to unlock another extension of the map entirely to do these missions. Also it'd be great if I could click on a task on the map to find out what is required of it before having to travel there.

That's the whole goal of the task. I'm also pretty sure that it says "requires addon" in the contract? But I could be wrong it's been a while. You have to approach and slowly pinpoint the exact good spot

The task in Amour doesn't give any clue as to which map you are supposed to go. And, because it has no points on any map, it doesn't give you in the description the name of the map, if you happen to be in the wrong one. I had to check maprunner to find it.
"Solid rock" is in Chernokamensk.
"Richter scale" is in Northern Aegis Installation.

I know I have to use the truck addon thingy, but the points are very vague. I usually look up internet walkthroughs for help but the game should honestly be better at describing what you need to do.

In what way is it vague? It tells you the exact distance and you are meant to determine the direction. It would be pretty lame if they told you exactly where to go. That would take the fun out of it.

When tracking any task or contract it will put a yellow marker, when viewing the map, on the relevant map tunnel entry points if the task/contract takes place on a different map from the one you are on.
