AI traffic

AI traffic on maps would be great.

Maps feel kinds dead with no other cars beside u.

A off or on option for traffic would also be good for people who don't want it.

Would be great but I highly doubt it’s gonna happen. Mostly because getting an AI to navigate the kind of terrain we got here without looking silly or downright broken is harder than it may look like.

I want ambient idling zombies that we can run over, that way there'd be an explanation as to why no one else is running around.

Where exactly would you expect the AI traffic to go/travel? There are no roads on this game. It's all dirt/mud/swamps. Just what I need as I'm traveling down a mud swamp barely big enough for my truck, is to run into a random AI truck that blocks my path and makes it impossible for me to proceed any further.

People really need to think things over before suggesting things. This isn't a true simulator. This isn't American Truck Simulator. I'm not sure why people keep thinking it is. We don't need VR. We don't need steering wheels. Someone even asked for cruise control not too long ago. Where exactly, do you expect to cruse? Down what mountain-mud path will you cruse at 3 MPH, and I hope it includes auto steering because if the cruise control just drives you off the mountain it's not going to help much, right?

There are no interstates, there are no highways, there are no places to cruise... Cruise over that branch and around that tree?

No. Traffic would pointless, as most of the roads on the maps are actually just paths (or much less...).
But i see where the OP came from. The overall lifelessness of the world annoys me too. Dioramas with people in the industrial sites or small settlements would resolve this.

I meant trucks transporting goods to one place to another or from on tunnel to another.
I got this idea when I travelled to a place where there were dangerous off-road roads which reminded me of Snowrunner and saw transporting trucks transporting goods through those roads.

Your comment made me laugh hysterically for a few minutes. XD But you are absolutely right, sir. I don’t need a cruise control to drive me around a tree at turtle speed and ai traffic to make a car jam under one tree in the middle of a swamp. XD

Someone was on here the other day upset because the game didn't have a cruise control feature. Not trying to be an ass but some people just need to think for a second before they talk about stuff. How the hell are you going to use cruise control when you can't go 20 feet without winching yourself out of mud.

Not necessarilly just standing. They could've programmed to do some minor things. We get our tasks from people after all...

Not completely impossible but not in sense of traffic but in life-look sense.
For the beginning, it would be nice to see some short videos after tasks completion; maybe owner of the task coming out from the house and another sequence with two man shaking hands or something similar.
Another possible thing is more wildlife as well as people in town or people walking in nature. Now both, nature and towns are dead.

I had this picture of the AI driving stock light scouts, then getting them stuck at all the spots where we got stuck at when we were newbies, and before long you'd see no NPCs driving around because there'd be 5 of them stuck at each of those places. Lol.

There is going to be no AI traffic on this game. There is no way to even implement something like that with the game engine it uses. With the complexity of the roads in this game, it's not even possible to do.

No. I'm here to play a game. The last thing I need is another game that's full of annoying cut scenes. It's the main reason I stay away from racing games. I'm here to drive, not watch movies.
