I'd say that you should take the premium edition as it's on GOOD sales, includes Tatras and the Marshall, as well as season 1 (and some cool paint jobs)
The dlc trucks are really good.
lol
Of the stand alone ones. I would say the only the Step 33-64 Crocodile stand out as super special, it has very cool options for such a small truck, even high saddle, and you can never have to many non tippy fuel trucks.
I do find the Landrovers and Jeeps very enjoyable too, it's fun driving something that behaves more realistic in mud. The GMC brigadier used to be special too but they nerfed the speed of the high gear.
Ultimately, the DLC trucks don't do anything for you that the default vehicles don't, except already being in your garage when you start the game next (in normal mode). If you're buying such packs prior to your first session in the game, that means you're potentially starting with some very capable trucks. Having the Tatra 813, right from the start, will drastically change the difficulty of the first region (which is difficult only until you get tires and drive trains that are adequate in the mud).
The region DLCs likely get poor reviews because they are generally harder than the three default regions. Amur is why there are so many OP trucks available through the mod browser, because it's so ridiculous that even vehicles with "magic tires" simply reduce the difficulty down to a manageable level.
The DLC trucks probably won't help you much in hard mode, because you probably won't even be able to afford them. Some of them are over $150,000. They aren't good enough to justify that price in hard mode.
Mudrunner has the best mods that put snowrunner DLCs to shame.
