I had a problem like this which turned out to be the corsair keyboard/mouse software causing a few games not to launch without them being unplugged first. Now everything works fine with icue being uninstalled.
The most common reason the game crashes on launch is incompatible control devices.
Corsair products being one of them.
Some versions of Logitech G Hub are known to crash the game.
After market Xbox and PS4 Controllers will also crash the game. You must use OEM Xbox or PS4 Controllers. The cheap replicas you find on ebay and amazon will crash the game.
Incompatible Wheel Controllers will also crash the game. If you are using a Wheel, make sure it is on the Game's list of Compatible Wheels.
You can plug it back in once its loaded up but i get that it is annoying. It seems to be an issue with corsairs icue program as i have no problem now it's uninstalled. I guess it has a hook plugin so keyboard lights can sync to games, SR doesn't like it.
It's not the firmware. I'm running the latest version of iCue and firmware.
If I force close all the icue software, the keyboard still works, but game doesn't.
The problem is the dual USB cable used to plug in the keyboard. If I unplug the extra 2nd USB port on the cable the game actually works while keeping my keyboard working. For my K95 RGB keyboard, the extra USB port is used if you want to plug headphones in the keyboard. Most of the other Corsair use the extra port for USB passthrough.
I'm not using the headphone jack on my keyboard so I can keep it unplugged. It's still pretty annoying though I never had this problem with any other game.
It makes sense, because SR tends to get crabby when you have more than one controller plugged in, and it probably sees the keyboard and the extra port, both as controllers.
