I have not been able to find a way to make metal beams. Ive scrapped all metal from related buildings and some from warehouse, but now I need metal beams to make coils. where do I crafting metal beams and what do i need to craft them.

Check Cargo creation zone near garage

Take a generator to cargo creation zone 1 . start it up and then your able to make metal beams at that zone.

I found it easier to get metal beams from the factory in Grainswood - the adjoining map. There are 20 metal rolls at the railway station there. The driving is longer but safer/easier. The mud between the garage and cargo creation zone 1 is awful.

Just leave a Civ ANK with long heavy winch on each side, they can double it as a fuel dump, and with balloon mud tires they can go anywhere.

I did go to this cargo area and started up the generator, but that came up was the cement icon indicating that was the only product that could b crafted. so can u explain this a little more

Once the generator is started up and your in the crafting zone cycle through the cargo.
use your number keys at the top eg . 1 , 3 to cycle through unload, craft , load . You need to select the craft "middle icon" then use your E key to cycle through the cargo that that zone can produce, in your case you need metal beams so after selecting push F key to craft as many as you need, push 3 key again and you can load then onto your truck/trailer.
