Because there is not a single Store in this World where you get something free just because you buyed it on another Store.....

Well, to be honest giving them keys won't cost them any money, the only problem here is they won't do that because they afraid you'll try to sell them on the grey market... And that would create a bunch of problems for them. One time I actually wanted the same from Zenimax, because they actually said that they never release TESO on Steam, and when they did that, not only they didn't give us a Steam key, they even locked the Steam forums to silence their player base (oof), they made it so that only people who owns the game on Steam could post new messages on Steam forums. Anyway, my point is they can give us keys, but they probably won't do that, because it's really hard to remember when publishers actually done that before, maybe in 1 case out 100, but it's really rare, so don't expect them. Just wait for a sale and buy the game twice... =/

Nobody put a gun to your head to buy Snowrunner in the first place. If you willingfully bought it on EGS then I don't see a reason to get it for free on Steam, a completely different platform storefront from a different owner.

If you want to be really picky, then Steam is a digital distribution platform, and the dozen sites that sell you Steam keys are store fronts for it?

But Epic is not selling Steam keys, never has, probably never will, unless Steam reduces their cut.

Well the keys outside of the store are not charged by steam and generated by the publisher anyways.
