Tip for bringing the large drill trailer from Drummond Island port to Smithville Dam drill site

I don't recall the name of the mission, but one of the missions is to bring one of the extra large mission trailers from the Port at Drummond Island to the drill site in Smithville dam.
The road down the mountain in Smithville dam is challenging with a couple of tight turns and a pretty sketchy bridge. Most people then go past the farm, but a brave few will try the route before the farm.

There's a much easier route though. Just bring it down the hill and across the rock bridge. You'll probably need a fairly powerful truck like a Kolob and it's still challenging, but it's much shorter and easier than going the long way around.
Scout it out first and see if you think you can mange it before the trip and you might save some time and effort.

I have done the rock bridge route with the P1 (twice) and the M916A1 Freightliner It's a fun challenge. I would expect the White Western Star could do it as well. (If worse comes to worst, simply restart the contract from the map screen!)

I'm have two problems when attempting to deliver the steel beams and the large drill to that site. Whenever I get in the unloading area I get a "Please move your vehicles out of the unloading zones". Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've tried various vehicles and trailers without any success. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks 😎

That's a odd error. Since certain deliveries will trigger a cut scene of the rig being built, I wonder if your trailer might be in the path of the rig expansion or if there's some cargo on the ground that is.

First, make sure the mission is active.
Second, make sure that you're bringing the right cargo. You probably need to deliver the beams before the drill.
Third, try to not have the truck or trailer inside the manual unloading box but also try to have the truck and trailer clear of the rig itself. If you were to circle the rig in a clockwise direction, go fairly wide near the buildings. When you pull into the delivery square, pull ahead as far as you can to still have the delivery button shown on screen. Your rear truck wheels will still have to be in the square.

If none of that works, you may have a bugged mission and have to restart the mission.

Thanks Bubba Fett... I too found it strange, and I did re-start the mission 3 times but... hey, who knows? I'm an old troubleshooter from the past and I do love a challenge. I much appreciate your suggestions and for sure I'll try them all. After all, I can't be the only one experiencing this... Again, thanks a lot. Oh BTW, I'm using the (beta?) test version right now. I wonder if that may be a cause?

The problem was that I'd left a big rig setup trailer right between the the rig going up and the delivery point. Once removed to a further location I was able to unload the steel beams followed by the drill itself. This completed the three drilling requirements in Michigan. Thanks a lot for your help 👍
