I don't really understand 2). It's perfectly possible to send the CK1500 to get the GMC, bring the fuel trailer from opposite the farm along, and then fix the Fleetstar up immediately. Uninstall the sideboard from the GMC, install it on the Fleetstar, activate the AWD add-on (sell the RWD), and buy the yellow loading crane so you never have to pay for auto-load ever again.
The best way to deal with the lack of traction is to load some weight. With the crane, cargo is still free, so put some weight on every truck if you plan to go off-road. With weight on it, even the GMC can pull the flatbed with the concrete on it (barely), the Fleetstar can do it easily.

What I was referring to in #2 is people using the pickup to drag the Fleetstar into the garage and paying to repair it. It is also possible to drag the repair trailer with the pickup and position it behind the Fleetstar and after connecting the trailer fixing the Fleetstar on its own. In that case you'd be borrowing the fuel from the pickup to fetch the fuel trailer. Also pulling the fuel trailer back with the GMC would work.
If you don't do that, you might soon find yourself always starting late in the day.
