Coop Progression

Tried searching but could never find the exact answer. I'm wanting to know what the progression is exactly like in coop. I would always be hosting and my friend would join me and never played single player.
From what I read is if I host, my friend that joins my game would earn the money and xp and all the upgrades we find they unlock in well, I'm not sure if for my game or their game too.
Would the vehicle unlocks be shared as in if I bought a certain vehicle would my friend get that vehicle as well or would they also have to buy it themselves. I read that the player that joins has to stick with the same vehicle.
I also want to know if the player joining would be able to run their own contracts or can only the host can choose contracts and you have to run them together?
Again my friend joining would never play single player, I do know they would lose all the progression other then money and xp if they started their own game

Map progress is only saved only by the host, people who joins the host gets to keep all the money and exp they earned but once they go into their own game, they will have to do map progression over again. As for unlocks they only unlock the upgrades and trucks if they were with in-game with the host at the time of unlocking said upgrade or trucks. If the host already has the upgrade or truck, they can only get the upgrades or truck in their own game.

Vehicle unlocks are not shared. If you have a DLC map and find a truck on it, only you will be able to buy that truck in the store from that point forward if your friend doesn't have the DLC. If your friend also has the DLC, you get the truck you find (for free) but he can buy it in the truck store. If the truck you find is one of the ones in the base game, you get it for free and it's unlocked for him to buy.
Upgrades unlocked in a coop session are available to every player in the session. (even if it's for trucks that the other players may not have access to. (upgrades to DLC trucks)
If the other player later buys the DLC map and gets those trucks, he'll have the upgrades from the start because of finding them in your coop session.
There are a few really nice upgrades on DLC maps for trucks in the base game. The AWD upgrade for the Twinsteer found on the Imandra map is a good example. If your friend is cooping with you when you find it, he'll be able to use it in his own base game

Guests in the session can use any trucks they own. They can also jump into any empty trucks on the map. This lets you loan trucks to friends. They can't recover borrowed trucks to the garage though. Only the truck owner can recover to the garage.

Any player in a coop session can accept a task and each person in the session can run different tasks. (tasks are the little missions you find on the map) Rewards are given to each person in the session when tasks are completed. (not split, duplicated. Everyone gets full pay and XP)
Only the host can start the main missions, (the ones with their own tab in the map screen) but once he does, anyone can work on them or complete them.

One tip for coop: Some missions and tasks trigger a cutscene and it shows for everyone in the session. Give some warning so you don't trigger it while your friends are doing some tricky driving and cause a crash.

as this title entered sale once again, i'd like to know if this is still an issue. would be sad if joining players would have to play limited like described above.
