"strict NAT" a fix that can work for most.
Hello,
I do not own the game, but reading through the negative reviews i've noticed a few people are having this issue.

You need to deactivate "network acceleration" in your router.
It is on by default and always causes a "strict NAT" whether you set a DMZ or forward ports or use UPnP .
Some games are affected more depending on what ports they are using.
In my DLINK router the option to disable it was "Enable Fullcone NAT" a check box that needed to be ticked on.
It fixed a lot of network problems in many different games, and especially the rubber banding since i was no longer dropping packets.

Here is a guide that i discovered this on, i've been fighting "strict NAT" for years.

Search for "NAT Acceleration and its impact on NAT Type"
You will also see some routers have it named as "CTF".

If both players have a "stract NAT" then it is impossible to make a stable connection since both of you filter out the important information packets.

Hope this helps someone,
I was just passing through.

Have a nice day.
