Always Daytime

Hi,
is there an option to have always daytime? I like to see where I'm driving. To jump ahead in time every night is going on my nerves.

you don't need to cheat to skip time in normal mode, just go the map and press T

Thank you all for answering. I know about the skip via the map. My point is: You have to do that quite often if you want to skip every night. That is annoying to me. So I hoped to find an option to turn the day-night-cycle off.

This is driving me insane....It would be very easy for them to fix with a little update It looks sooo good in brigth daylight. Why not give us the option to choose the time of day. Like in most games the 24 hour day-cycle is too short. It it was 3 times slower i could accept this problem.

Has there recently be a patch, that forces me to start at 11 pm whenever I continue playing? No matter when I stop playing, 7 am morning, 2 pm afternoon, sunshine or rain.....whenever I continue a savegame I start 5 min prior to 11 pm in the night. This has never been before. I have already 500 hours playtime so far, installed the game completely new because I had some issues with mods and wanted to have a fresh installation, since then ( last week ) I always have to skip to 6 am in the morning ( T ) or drive for 7 hours to see the first sunlight.

There is "always day" option for NewGame+. Suppose it's possible to edit save file to enable infinite day without starting a new game.

YES! There is! This took me forever to work out, but here it is.
Okay, find your save file, ctrl+f and look for "TIME_SETTINGS":X,"; X will be the setting from New Game Plus, 0 being default, 1 being no time skip, 2 being double daytime, 3 being double nighttime, and 4 being day only, at least from my testing I believe that is the case. I tested by making multiple save files with different time settings and comparing the difference.
The other major difference was the "timeSettingsDay" and "timeSettingsNight" settings. In default, Day and Night were both set to 1.0, while in Day only, Day was set to 0.0 and Night was set to -1.0.
So I changed the all 3 of those settings to get a save file where time does not pass, but I can still manual change the time from the map screen, which is arguably the best of both worlds.

So to recap; ("TIME_SETTINGS":1," is just default + no timeskip)
Default: "TIME_SETTINGS":0," "timeSettingsDay":1.0," "timeSettingsNight":1.0,"
Double Day: "TIME_SETTINGS":2," "timeSettingsDay":0.5," "timeSettingsNight":1.0,"
Double Night: "TIME_SETTINGS":3," "timeSettingsDay":1.0," "timeSettingsNight":0.5,"
Day Only: "TIME_SETTINGS":4," "timeSettingsDay":0.0," "timeSettingsNight":-1.0,"
I hope this can help you guys, also, it seems save files are in order, so if you're like me and your mainsave isn't in the first slot, then your save slots are just in order from 0 to 3, not 1 to 4.

Upgrade your truck with more foglighs and the night almost becomes day. At least in the forward sector. I like driving at night except for some heavy missions and if I don't know the map very well yet.
