Has anyone got this working with win11

As title says. I tried on two different rigs and both install with Steam but won't launch the game. It just seemingly starts to launch then seems to crash away into oblivion just as it should be starting.

Have a second PC with Win11. Just tried there after reading your post. Doesn't work for me either. Hard to tell if it's the game or Win 11. Didn't try other games on Win11, as I am not interested in it as main platform yet. Definitely something the dev should look into, though.

Yeah, I installed a couple of other games and they worked through steam no problem. But Snowrunner refuses at all.

I always check the version of the microsoft .net framework. I would compare win 10 to the win 11 version and download an older version if they're not the same. You can have both concurrently on a machine. Then there is the DX stuff, and the video driver stuff as always.

OK, I went to the old control panel and enabled .net 3.5 and it installed, and snowrunner is launching. Not sure why this didn't happen on install.

But it seems to be working just fine.

IKR, I don't know why it doesn't automatically do it's thing but there you go.

This was not sufficient for me. I had to install legacy component 'DirectPlay' also. But than it ran smoothly.

Download and install the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft directly. It includes the DLL that is required.

No idea why the installer does not do this.

Used to play on W10 until my laptop updated to W11 a month ago. Still been able to play just fine no issues.

Of course and Upgrade from Win 10 to 11 would be no issue.

The issues is for fresh Windows 11 Installs/systems. They MUST install the DirectX End-User Runtime to have the required files needed for Snowrunner.

Upgrade has all the drivers needed, but fresh install doesn't and you need to manually install them. First runs of Steam won't seem to trigger the auto-install of them.

awesome thankyou that fixed my problem game loads and plays now
