How do you play doctor? I have no clue of what's going on. I have patients with nightmares and I don't know what to do for them, I try reducing parasites but this isn't the way?

You have a book in your inventory that you get immediately upon entering medical school (if you sold it, it's available at the market bookstore sometimes) - Qihuang Pharmacopoeia: Introduction. It has exercises where you can test herb combinations per different cases and you get graded based on how effective your concoction is at treating that precise illness. For nightmares, anxiety, and depression you need herbs that calm the nerves and help calm someone down. In general, since the game doesn't have a guide yet, it's useful to use the book exercises to write down different cases and their result so you know what to use even when your character can't diagnose what the disease is.

Thank you so much, this really helped! Can you tell me about making friends? Is this dependent on who I talk to in the inn? Sometimes they just tell me their names after an introduction but I don't know how to get more of them.

It seems that the only way to make friends is to go to the party gatherings once you reach a certain age, but make sure to immediately chat with them on the social tab afterwards because otherwise they immediately remove you. Sometimes you'll get a random event to have a childhood friend early on in life and they might randomly invite you to a party event even before you are of age to attend it.

can you explain how to become a doctor? anytime i try to enroll my girl it just gives me a book but absolutely nothing else changes. i make her read and exercise the book but again nothing happens

If my memory serve right, you have do exercise until the time limit, then you can become a doctor, or failed to do so. Fail to become a doctor will make your girl to be stranded in another town; separated by her family. So it hard for her to marry someone because of that.

If someone had nightmare, you can go to the grocery to buy medicinal herbs, those herbs contain effects name, you can buy a medicine with Calm the nerves with double + for greater effectiveness, that's for the main ingredients, and for the other two, you can decide which, the most important is the main ingredients, or if you have calming medicine with the other two, you could also use them, also, the third one, you could also choose it to be bitter or sweet.

The problem is that the girl has to move to another town when they decided to become a doctor. If they succeed, then there is no a problem. They'll get money and can return to their hometown easily. But the problem is if they failed, and they stranded to a different city, as you have to buy a horse cart etc in order to back home. Plus, when you're separated from your father and mother, it's not possible to marry somebody. Either you invite them to the town, or you return to your hometown.

If we are speaking about playing as a girl, I suggest earning a lot of money through catching and selling crickets first, getting married early and then taking the doctor's exam. That way you can buy a property, cart and etc in the capital instead while having your family there too. At least I think you would move collectively? Been awhile since I played this.

Well, if you choose to become a doctor, you have to choose that at the age of 10. It also have been awhile since I played this game.

That's solvable. For me, I don't want to risk being a doctor with only a penny. I can catch cricket (It's not available on PC and iOS.) and sell them, and let's be hopeful we could catch a cricket that sells at gold taels. Either you continue catching cricket or you spend that money you got from crickets to farm. Farming is my source of wealth. And when you have thousands of gold, you can end your character's life and continue with your daughter as a heir, of course, before that, you have to marry, If you give birth to a daughter at first try, that's good, if not, try and try. Now, when you married, you'll open a crash drawer. Fork money inside and use that money to hire a teacher for your daughter. Wait until she's 16 or above. As long as your daughter is already far away, studying, you can end the character and continue with your daughter, make sure she's the heir.
