Legendary Tales
I am so pissed
I saw that version of 1.0 just came out and I've been waiting for it for a while I really want to play it but the only headset I have is an Oculus quest one which was fine for the game so far but just recently I had bought another game on this headset tried playing and turns out I'm having the bug where when I don't touch my joysticks it's like it's pushing it backwards and if I push it forwards it's like I'm not touching it so I can't move forward anymore and I don't know how to fix it.

Sounds like you need to be pissed at Oculus/Meta. Have you tried Virtual Desktop to see if it negates this issue? Since the underlying issue sounds like Its prob from Oculus Software. Saddly the Oculus software is what runs this game best.. So you maybe in a catch 22

Sounds like your controller is having a drifting issue. Try googling it.

My friend had a similar issue, turns out it drifts when a different controller is plugged into PC (xbox, ps gamepad etc)

Unplugging it fixes that drifting

i googled it when it first happenned. it said that it's a known issue without any easy fix other then buying new controllers or disasembling the controlers. i can't do either right now.

i don't have any other controler plugged in only my mouse, since it started happening after a while and that it does it even when my headset is not connected to my computer i would say it has nothing to do with it.

Xavier, stick drift isn't the developer's fault homie. save up for some new controllers or use some electrical contact cleaner.

I know it's not the developers fault I never said I believed it was I just needed to complain a little bit and since I don't have a direct line of contact with the people who make Oculus Quest headsets this was essentially the best place I could do it.

Hey I don't know if it's possible but just before I start trying and might break everything I wanted the opinion of people here the issue of drifting is only on my left controller which is bad because I use my left controlling to move and my right controller to spin meaning my right controller if it was drifting it wouldn't change anything since it's only drifting down not left and right so if I were to change the controls so that my left joystick is for spinning in my right joystick is for moving wouldn't that mean that I can once again play I would just have to get used to moving with the different joystick now?

If you have issues with drift try contacting Oculus support.

I did that with my controller AND headset (stick drift and sweat stuck behind lens) and they gave me a new controller and fixed my headset for free. Just had to provide the S/N printed inside the controller/headset and ship it out to them.

They still helped me out even though I didn't have a warranty. So you might have similar luck.

I mean in theory if you rebind the controls so you wouldn't have to use that stick it could work. But you might not be able to do certain actions. Like collecting objects for your inventory (on Quest 2) is downwards with the right analog stick.

If you can't rebind that to something else you might not be able to perform that action that way.

Regardless of how you go about it, I hope you get everything fixed! I know all too well how stick drift can just kill any sense of gaming :steamsad: so hopefully you can get it figured out soon :bonfire2:

I'm able to play it's just not very intuitive because I literally just had to switch to left-handed mode and everything else is working fine as far as the controls go. Though I am having other issues now. For some reason the model of my character is about 3 ft tall and I don't like the toggle grip. I'm not sure if it's called toggle grip I just liked being able to hold and release as if it was realistic instead of pressing a button to hold pressing another button to drop I would like to change the control for that but I don't know how.

Oof, yeah that would be difficult, sorry to hear :<

and yeah the grip thing is something everyone is having issues with (including myself) :steamfacepalm: Far as I know there isn't anything to change that. Just have to wait for an update unfortunately x/

As for the small scale issue.. I have no clue honestly. I hear you can get a faster response on Discord. People on there might be able to help quicker from what I gather.

the grip is unfortunate, i managed to fix the small scale issue but right now what i am having an issue with is not so much a game problem but more me hopping there is something in the game to help. i have very bad knees so standing for too long is very painfull for me so i was wondering if there was a way to play while sitting. i know there are in some other games so i was just wondering if it was in this one.
