Edit: NVM I found some by going through the tunnel mentioned above and going right to the 'death pit'. Also, I found sulfur by exploring the small 'villages' around the saltpeter factory; I would bet that there is more than just 12 sulfur scattered around
You can see them from the factory and goat to under the bridge to get 9 Sulphur. Make sure to get back before nightfall, or sleep in the house next to the bridge.
It seems amount and location is guaranteed for Sulphur, and enough to make extra compound.
Sorry to hear you got frustrated! Being based on ground vibrations, not sight, they will chase you regardless. I suggest to run from object to object, or sleep it out entirely.
We were exploring ways of disabling the llamacortas for who prefer a pure survival experience, but it may take away from the vision of the game.
Regarding the Sulphur, we noticed an overall difficulty from the players to find it, so instead than adding more, we are going to add more notes and signs that will help and guide the player for those sulphur locations.

Thank you!
Hi there! First can I say I absolutely adore this game, it's incredible especially as a student project. But just some feedback on the above, an option to disable the llamacortas would be amazing because a) sometimes I just wanna explore and survive a desert lol and the creepiness of the mummies and left behind letters retains that atmosphere, and b) my best friend LOVES survival games but when she first encountered the monster she got too scared and had to stop playing, and I think there would be more people interested if there were an option for them to be turned off, as it were. I want to finish it properly first, but if there were an option to disable the llamacortas I could see more replayability in exploring it then :)
I have also suddenly had them appearing in the daytime, I read in another post this was a bug that would be fixed in an upcoming patch, is that correct?
Thanks for all your hard work!!
I was able to find enough searching in the factory areas though, I had to go in a couple caves before I found the last bit though...
