Fanatec Menu/FFB isnt working correctly.

I bought the game during Lunar sale for 35% off and finally got around to playing it.

In the menu the game sees my wheel, pedals, shifter and hand brake. Fanatec DD1, BMW Wheel, Clubsport shifter, Fanatec Hand brake and CSL Elite pedals. Hand brake instantly goes from 0-100%. Going from 100-0% the signal is analog and smooth.

Went thru and adjusted the FFB a little and went to stage to test. On stage FFB is there but no detail, wheel rotation degrees are off even though I set to 900 in game and wheel base. FFB was working, badly, until I opened the menu to adjust the FFB which I could not adjust while on stage. Exiting menu and all FFB, wheel input, pedal and handbrake stopped. Buttons on wheel stiil work normally. Exit to main menu and still cant adjust or see inputs from pedals/steering angle.

Restarted game and had the same issue multiple times, custom control set never loads, defaults to Keyboard driving controls. Unable to select custom preset but wheel still shows up in menu but not working.

Am I doing anything wrong or is this something that is just going to happen everytime I launch the game? I spent 100 minutes trying to get the wheel and other parts working and tried a controller and everything worked fine. How does a rally game sponsored by a wheel brand I am using not work.

CSL DD here, basically you will have to create new bindings every time you launch the game because game will ♥♥♥♥ it up every time you exit it. FFB unfortunately is a pile of ♥♥♥♥ after adjusting for a few hours its all wank. Set your rotation on AUTO on your rim and 540 in game. If you're able get a refund. Wish I could. DR2.0 is miles ahead.

Well not my experience , DD1 default settings except for increasing FFB to 70% in high torque mode and using a Mclaren GT3 wheel , I have my in game rotation at 200 for quick response and the only other thing I change is in game overall vibration to 30% , everything else at default.

The FFB in the WRC games is very weak compared to just about all other driving games.

I never have to re configure the wheel , it just always worked and feels very good to me , Dirt 2 on the other hand I found was terrible to drive and I hated it , there is no comparison , well worth getting WRC 10 working and spending some time getting used to it , by far the best rally game there is , awesome rush.

I have 118 minutes in the game. Want to try the WER David's response but also not sure if I want a refund. I enjoyed he career mode in a weekend demo for xbox a while ago. This one has the same style.

Have a look for Karl Gosling on Youtube for CSL DD and Dirt Rally 2.0. He has a good recent explanation of the way DD works and methodology for setting it up to work with multiple games. E.g. set wheel to Auto for rotation so things like Soft Lock (rotation is correct for the car you drive) will actually work in a game.
