Tyres in Monte-Carlo.
What kind of tyres choose in Monte-Carlo when we have more asphault and some snow?

Soft tarmac.

I only tryed Col de Braus. There was around 40 % snow or tarmac with some snow on it. There the winter tyres were the better choice.

don't make the mistake of following the weather:

when it'll say snow, it will be only eye candy, so go with soft tyres (by forgetting that, I've lost several Montes, by doing this mistake, over several WRC releases)

and, yes, only on those section with snow on the surface, it will be useful to have the winter tyres

correction: ignore winter tyres, as well

because, on mixed surface, wet tyres are the real solution for keeping up staying on the top of the leaderboard, for me

When it snows in the game, it's actually like rain (a design flaw of the game) and for that you should definitely not take snow tires because they are extremely slippery on wet tracks. Therefore it is better to take rain tires.

I take snow tires only from 36% snow and only in nice weather.

I think it's also a bug of the game that it recommends you hard tires for long stages. In cold temperatures, hard tires can't warm up at all.

I just drove Col de Braus (with 36% Snow) in dry weather, the snow tires are clearly the best for me. Rain tires are similarly good on tarmac as snow tires, but slightly worse on the snow. (So they only make sense in wet weather (rain/snow)). I drove Col de Braus similarly well with rain tires as I did with soft tires.

If you had to make a choice for several stages, the limit for me is about 22% snow, where it wouldn't matter if soft or snow.
It's riskier with soft tires, though, because Monaco has become more realistic in WRC 10. There are some isolated snow tracks on the stage and therefore an accident is quickly built.

However, as soon as wet weather could threaten, whether through snow or rain, I would definitely recommend rain tires.

Too bad that the menu in career and season is so poorly done and hides important information. Tire choice in Monaco is the most difficult tire choice in the whole game.

:D the only place I never got close to win, even with WRC 8 & 9 (driving@100% realism)
