are you playing with a wheel or gamepad? what about the physics? Your comment is way too vague for what I'm trying to find out though.
2 things matter if you want a brill rally game or you want vr
Yes physics , FFB and just the feeling is very very good , much improved over WRC 9 , get it you won't regret it.
- More realistic physics.
- More rally vehicles.
- Better graphic.
- Better sound (controversial)
- More suitable for the wheel.
WRC 10 pluses:
- Real license special stages. SS are more interesting, variable and elaborate. MAIN PLUS.
- More realistic damages with better feedback.
- Better career mode.
- Easy control for the gamepad and wheel.
From what I have seen so far, the WRC classes seem to be modelled well. The cars feel heavier when DR2.0, but perhaps have too much grip. Wet tarmac is a particular odd-ball in WRC10, as I couldn't feel a whole lot of difference to the dry except for rain effects on the windshield. Classes other than WRC still seem muted. Generally though Tarmac in WRC10 is a better experience than DR2.0. DR2.0's physics on Tarmac is really weird, particularly in the wet.
As for Non-WRC classes, so far I have only driven the Alpine and Quattro (pre-Group B). The Alpine had no RWD characteristics (power over-steer) even on slippery surfaces. Classic RWD cards seem to be modelled better in DR2.0. Similarly, the Quattro didn't have much character. Famously, its engine is forward of the front axle, and is supposed to be a tricky car to drive (with a tendency to under-steer).
So if you want to play with modern WRC cars (WRC, WRC2 J-WRC), WRC10 is probably a decent experience. If you like the classics (as most rally fans do, myself inclusive), DR2.0 is your beast.
Though, if your willing to forgo online events in WRC, why not get DR2.0 and WRC9 from the discount bin? The cars in WRC10 are modelled slightly better than WRC9, but it's not night and day.
Oh yeah, tarmac is really weird in dr2.0. As much as I love the Spain stage the cars handle weird.
Appreciate all the replies. It was the push I needed for the game to be honest.
As long as the physics are on par or a bit lower/higher than DR2.0 I'm ok with it.
I wish it had VR support of course (and I can't even imagine why they didn't add it, it's 2021 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) but it's not something that would not make me buy a sim rally game.
Thank you all again.
Edit: so apparently steam censors god d*mn it...
Dont buy Dirt Rally 2. The Rally Parts is crap and the RX Part is ok. Its the only mode i play from time to time in DR2 the Rallycross Part.

at 23:45 he starts and at 31:43 he stops ans says 'ARCADE'
True, the Handling in DR2 is easier. But the Stages are Booring Compared to WRC.
The track is much wider so it is easier in DR2 than in WRC where the streets are really narrow.
The DLC maps are a bit better then the non DLC Maps in DR2. But somehow the routes in DR2 look like randomly generated to me even the DLC Maps. The tracks in WRC, on the other hand, have character. It's just a lot harder.
And tracks in DR are real roads (not rally stages, but you can find compare game and real life on YT). Random generated in D4.

I only can say that the Handling in DR2 is easier then in WRC.
Since I have never personally driven a rally car but only in games, I cannot say anything about the realism factor. Like most players.
That's why I always say easier or harder.
I would celebrate if I had the handling of DR2 in WRC. As for the engine sound, I haven't played it long enough. But I think it comes close to the sound in DR2 in terms of quality.
I think WRC 13 or 14 could beat DR in all aspects.
WRC is currently lagging behind DR2 in terms of handling, performance (FPS) and possibly the sound.
I think the graphics are better in WRC because they look less like cartoon and are less bright or colorful. "More mature" for want of a better word.
