R.B.I. Baseball 21

So
What is new? Feature-wise, to me it looks like ‘20 with no new features or any more depth.

And if that’s the case I can wait for MLB The Show ‘21.

Your thoughts?

Oh, I like that. I also read that it will have play-by-play commentary. I'd say overall this is enough for me to buy. Thanks jcheeseman.

Is this one going to be more realistic then previous versions?

Some of the new features sound pretty good. But Until I see them. I'm considering this a used car sell. IS MLB the SHOW coming on PC? Most likely not. So may be stuck with nothing or a used car. I really wish they would post a teaser or trailer that actually shows something.

I'm guessing its like last year with additions like time of day and play by play. Create a player mode will be a cool addition too, depending on how it's implemented. All in all, pretty good look for the series.

I bought the game and couldn't play it using xbox elite2 controller. that sucked so i returned the game. If your going to release a game make sure all the checkboxes are good.

Your thoughts?

  • There's difficulty tuning this year rather than just having a designated difficulty setting. You can now deviate from the pre-configured sliders for Easy, Medium and Hard, and customize your difficulty.
  • You now have a ton of different camera options (Low, Zoom, Classic, etc.) for both hitting and pitching.
  • Create-A-Player exists, however while it's not as detailed as something like The Show (like making a face from scratch), there's enough variety and depth with how your player looks on the field as far as what they wear.
  • Day and Night cycles are in, meaning you just have to specify the start time rather than picking Day/Night like you did in RBI 20 and the game handles the lighting progression as you play. It looks great.
  • PBP commentary is in, but the way that RBI implemented this is similar to the soundbites of the vintage baseball games rather than a commentary flow like your more modern sports titles.
  • No CPU vs. CPU gameplay that I've seen.
