What are your favorite units and why?.
i like the T0 tank because i keep encountering it early in the run and it can heal its self and you can make a bunch of them and they do decent damage and have a little armor.

i like the Clawbot because it is very inexpensive and not only can you make a lot of them but its teleport power is very useful for approaching the enemy from unexpected angles. also it combos well with a bunch of upgrades and a few hacks.

i like the Recon bots ability to place healing turrets. fixing units up is way more economical than replacing them and the fact the healing can also shoot enemys is nice.

what are your favorite units and tactics or upgrades or uses for them?.
buildings can count too.

For efficacy, Defenders. On Reach Engineer with speed beacons they deal immense damage for their cost and have an easy time rushing enemy bases. I won ascension 5-7 running them + static defenses and recon bots when they showed up. Probably doesn't work at 8+ without a more refined build, but quite fun before then.

For spectacle, Flamewalkers. There's something very satisfying about sieging up and watching them melt trash en masse. While I haven't had a ton of success for them I take flamewalkers any time they appear as a first blueprint.

For looks, Gatling walkers. Big shooty robot + dakka does it for me.

For me best starting unit is Spike Tank - you can built a lot of them and there not too expensive. Ideal upgrades are Vampirism and some damage increase (either armored vehicles do more damage or the veteran upgrade) - makes them almost unkillable while doing good damage on their own. Complement with Rocket Cars (or Beam Exciter of you cant get em) to take out enemy units with long reach and you´ll rush through most of your run.

Ideal enhancements / hacks to take along are all global healing ones - 0,25%/s from having only one refinery, + healing, healing from obstacles ect. and combine this with the healing has chance to spawn creeper. will grant you an ever-refreshing army of little spider spawns.

Lightning tank is my favorite as a starter, because of its AoE damage and stun. Especially if you can give it +2 armor and vamp.

Favorite unit is Energy Medic. Only got them once, but they carried my ascension 9 run easily. Can make an immortal deathball with them if you have some armored or beefy units in front.

Ticks are insane. I just won a run using only them. Giving them Stun and +2 Armor, along with stacking some healing and extra armor healing, made them absolutely undefeatable.

I'm a swarm type of person, so the infested bots and ticks with hacks spawning more and buffing the little guys. Hurts my frames in game but it's fun to watch highly tanky hp/armor enemies melt :cadrialove:
I like to use the escape button and hit exit game
the ti tank and rocket truck are a powerful combo

I used the ultra turret with +3MP per kill for nearly 100% uptime. It made ascension 8 pretty trivial. Spy towers helped too to destroy the enemy base without getting anywhere close.
Energy Hunters, cheap and tanky (along with +10 shield upgrade)

Haha, yeah I think that upgrade is really one of the most broken ones. Had that same combo for a run, along with the one that makes the enemies drop fires on kill and a bunch of other fire hacks. It was absolute mayhem.

I noticed you nerfed it down to 2 MP! Good change, I'm going to try to break more combos.

I like the T3 tanks, it's not the best but I just like using it with the spider special unit
Micro Robo... Stack either a bunch of (on death) upgrades OR Micro Robo with unit and factory cost reduction... couple with Rush Beacons for almost an infinite trail of the little guys leading from your base to the enemies.

***Also remembered... the Zombie Robos... with the infinite life hack it can get absolutely ridiculous!
