Original Majikoi VN translation comparisons - fanTL vs JAST TL [common route only]

So if anyone was curious about the various translation differences between the original Majikoi VN fantranslation and JAST's official translation, I compiled a bunch of notable scenes in the common route with screenshots of the different translations.

My observation (based on my limited knowledge of Japanese and listening to the voice acting) is that the fantranslation is a bit more literal, while the JAST translation is a bit more localized. But they're both similar enough, and keep "Last Name First Name" order as well as all honorifics.

Hey there quick question. Is there ANY point in buying this version when I played through the original games several times already? I mean they removed voices which can be fixed via mod and the obligatory 18+ patch if you own the steam version is a thing too.

I am just curious if there is any added value whatsoever for this release. Oh and I am also wondering if their marketing regarding "no mosaics" is just a blatant copy paste of the old de-mosaic fanmade version, don't want to spend 40 bucks to find out xD. Any info on this is appreciated :3

The no mosaics present in the fan translation were fanmade, the no mosaics here are from the original artwork. The game wouldn't even get onto Steam if it had 18+ included so the DLC offsite was needed if Steam users wanted to experience the 18+ content as well. Though I can understand possible concern about needing a JAST account to buy the DLC and possibly JAST not supporting regional pricing for where you may live.
