That one character at the hoarding house is pretty pricey. Is she necessary?

Only if you are going for all the achievements and want to unlock the post-game level.

Yes she is. While she has a short range attack. its pretty powerful.. And she moves faster then the other characters. There are a couple of mini game levels, escort levels, farm and a later one. Her speed makes those levels a lot easier. I used her in both levels and did it.

So yes, if you want every weapon and want 100% the game, she is needed.

Pawla's one of the best characters in the game, so absolutely. She's later outclassed by another character but she's always worth having around.

Yeah, but to get that character, you need her anyway. And even if I have them I still default to Pawla, because she's a bit more responsive.

Pawla is perhaps the only optional character worth constantly using, all the others are "switch to them in specific scenarios". I feel if the game had only main 3 characters + Pawla, it would not be worse.
