Change destination?

While in the garage I finished outfitting my car and selected a destination to go to. I then realized I picked the wrong destination and tried to change it, but the game isn't letting me change my decision. Am I missing something or is the game really locking me in like this?

That is scanning and not setting your destination. Scanning will tell you what you can find in that area. You choose what zone to travel to when you drive out of the garage zone.

Later you can scan more zones pre trip.

Ooooh so that is why you can change the route when you are leaving garage. Facepalm! Thank you for clarification. After 15 hours and I did not understand this correctly :D now it makes sense. Cheers
